Surprisingly, they did not mention any other places for the interview.

So, I will wait till December to see the progress and will contact them again.

Yes, they are big on one on one interview but are good at accommodating if one requests. I emailed them before I started working on the application that I cannot make it to NYC or any of their other locations and that would a virtual interview be considered. As I said, they are very helpful.

Hi.

Has anyone else from India apart from rakesh87 and stormbreaker received an invite from Stern?

Does an early call for interview mean better candidature?

Also, if we interview later in February or March, does that impact your chances of admit and scholarship?

MsInvBanker can you tag someone from previous year to know if interviewing between Shanghai and US, since that seems the only option right now apart from virtual interview,will make any difference?

I am not sure if travelling to US right now i.e. in December is better or waiting for invites from R2 applications and then travelling sounds better?

Please help

Hey Rakesh1987

This is my opinion and one another Moderator agree with me that a tourist visa will do as at the moment you couldn't apply for a student visa. You should ask the school to write a letter inviting to interview to strengthen your visa application.

Last year r1 applicants kept receiving invites after the r2 ddl. Also, I live in China and from what I heard, so far only a handful of Chinese applicants received interview invites. I couldn’t even find a chat group or anything for NYU interview prep.
