mynk13 can you post a debrief, not a lot of "formal" sources for the interview questions.

Hello,

Results for R3 are this week. I went through my interviews last week. So awaiting the outcome with fingers crossed.

Are you in this round as well?

Yea, I too just got done with my interviews. How did the interviews go for you? Any idea what’s the rejection rate?

Why's this thread so silent? What's the status of applicants applied in March-April?

Hi htkv0902 my apologies for the delay in my response. Are you overrepresented, I gather? Are you applying tomorrow or pushing to May? I think May would be the last deadline to target if you are Indian or Chinese.

Hi guys, is applying is April or May deadline too late ? Should I postpone to round 1 Sept intake ?

Hi, thanks for asking.
I’m Vietnamese/Australian (dual citizenship) and have also lived and worked in the US. GPA and GRE score are well above average with strong EC.

Im thinking of applying in May for Sept 2019 intake...not sure if it is too late to apply now. Should I apply for Jan 2020 intake ?

I want a career switch into Marketing/ luxury brand management.

Thanks a lot for your advice.

Van

Hi Van, really sorry that I missed this. I think it would be pretty chancy to go for September batch at this point. If you don't make it through, you might really beat yourself up because you applied late and reapply in a couple of months is unlikely to be successful. I think you should give yourself plenty of time; there are a lot of essays involved and do you want to do the best job possible. What did you end up doing? Have you made a choice yet?

Yes I am an Indian. 'zinzin' was just a random username. I had no clue that it was a French slang! I do not speak French at all. I have already been admitted to the Jan 2020 intake. From what I have researched, summer opportunities are non-existent for Jan intakes. Wanted to understand your opinion on whether the MBA without internship opportunities is still worth the expense? Also how much does the HEC brand hold value for non-French speakers looking to move into other countries ?

MBAPrepCoach wrote:
Hello zinzin I am curious, you are Indian, do you speak French or live in France? "zinzin" is slang for crazy in French.
How do you mean opportunities, like job opportunities post-MBA, internship opportunities, or chances for admission?
Please clarify.
Thanks!
zinzin wrote:
is there a big difference in the opportunities available for jan intake as opposed to the september intake?
zinzin can you share with me how you gathered that information? They also have an MBA project which should be similar to an externship and giving you exposure to the industry of choice. Station f is another very interesting aspect of HEC, if you are going for entrepreneurship. I would definitely have a chat with the career people. I don't think HEC is the best choice for those who are looking to move outside of Europe and Asia, parts of Africa, and it's really the best option for those in francophone countries. The key operative word here is francophone. So for example I have a client in Lebanon and HEC is well-known there more so than more high-ranking mbas. What did you end up doing? I think it's very funny that you picked a screen name that means crazy in French LOL and you didn't even know it.

it's a 5-week application cycle so I think March people should actually Be all set. My client applied in April, and was supposed to be interviewing this week but will be sending an apology to the admissions committee as he's decided to take the offer he was given from iese. Which is a little risky because he's from a French speaking country. One more spot for all you guys :-)

No, you are not in delay for the application. Any candidate who requires VISA for France can apply till Sep deadline.
All the best for your application :)

mbnth -- can you not log in to the admissions portal? You should be able to log in and navigate to the page where you enter the information and there is a "resend" button. I had to resend to my recommenders twice!
