I did not receive such an e-mail. Heartbreaking :/

TA89 - I wouldn’t let that get you down. From how the e-mail was worded, it could have even been a less hopeful sign. It was worded as that they hope to accept a few off the waitlist and then update everyone by June 1st. It didn’t word it as though they hoped to try to extend a spot to me. I am going to search past forums to see if I notice any patterns with this.

Finally made it, with just about 22% of tuition as a scholarship.
I am so thankful for all those who helped me keep my hopes up.

As a cross admit, I have about a week to decide.

Let's enjoy this journey.

Just got news that I have been placed on the waitlist for Round 3 and that I would be admitted if space becomes available prior to the start of the fall 2018 school year. Is the waitlist typically pretty long? I guess I am trying to gauge my chances of actually getting off this waitlist in the coming weeks.

Check your application profile. There should be an update. I didn’t get an email.. but I checked and I got waitlisted today.

I literally made my decision just about 10 minutes back.
I am joining Tepper. So, there should be a seat available at Rice (and would free up some money too).

It was a hard choice. With scholarship at Tepper, KFBS was out of the race (still, I tried to ask them for some). Rice has an advantage for my career goals, but as an international, it also means a geographically limiting factor. Money wasn't an issue, given the difference wasn't much.
So, finally, it was where I saw myself and where I felt a better fit.

I was thinking of all the friends I made here but I may not get to meet in person. Some of us are already connected in LinkedIn and will share my profile in Admitted Students' Group. But something had to go, alas, can't be at two schools at once - and that would be expensive too :lol:

I just got the acceptance call as well. I had been on the waitlist for quite some time and almost lost hope, so I am glad to finally get some good news. I am glad I didn’t give up too cause I had studied more and retook the GMAT after being waitlisted also. Best of luck to you all!

When I spoke with them on the phone today, I didn’t get any info on that. But I know the e-mail update they last sent many about 2 weeks ago said they will be hoping to take a few off the waitlist and wrap everything up by June 1st, so that is a hopeful sign to me for anyone on the waitlist.
