I agree with wordsmith15, updating your LinkedIn actually does not take very long if you have an updated resume handy. And I doubt ad-com will check your LinkedIn profile in the next week or so. It is better to include it than not in my opinion.

As for the interviews invitation, I would imagine them coming in on a rolling basis knowing that the interview period spans for like a month or even longer. And I think some people (the most qualified crop of candidates) will start seeing interview invitation e-mails starting early October. I think expecting them to start sending them out in September is a bit stretching it, but knowing interviews start in October, I don't see them start sending after mid October.

Looking at last year's threads I think mid-october seems about right for interview invitations to start. I would expect the first ones to come out around the 15th.

I did a quick look up, last year from gmatclub, 32% of the applicants in round 1 got an interview, let's hope we beat last year's record :).

According to speculation, in about three weeks we should start seeing people getting invitations for interviews. Good luck everyone!

I went to the Sloan Palo Alto session(nice event), and one of the admission staff members said typically, 30% of the applicants would be invited for an interview.

Holy cow. Just popped in to see how things were going for the 2018 intake. The internship recruiting process has just begun for us first-years - the resume building and interview practice never ends ;).

Speaking of interview practice, I would highly recommend the first-round applicants to start practicing their behavioral interviews ASAP. Getting an interview invite pushes your probability of getting admission up to 50%... but it's still 50%.

So me being me, I went back to the thread for last year, and found that most of the invitations for interviews started coming out about 5 weeks after the application deadline. However, know this year there is one extra round, which would reduce the number of applicants for the first round (I think), I would expect to see the invitations a bit sooner than that. A previous guess-timate was around October 15, and I believe that is quite accurate. Good luck everyone!
