Hello everyone,

Please treat this as REALLY URGENT. Given Tepper's 12-point font restriction for the resume, I am able to fit just two sections - Professional Experience and Education. For those going for a single page resume as I have, how did you approach this? Did you leave out extracurriculars/GPA out of it? Any inputs will be highly appreciated.

Never leave out important things from your resume. Why are you fixated at having a single pager resume? Tepper website says that a 2-page resume is just fine. If two pages also seem insufficient try summarizing your points. Really don't write stories, just the headlines. (Alternatively, make use of the horizontal space on the page, perhaps, by using tables?) Still even you are short of space, try adjusting the margins and convert it into pdf before uploading to maintain the formatting. Hope this helps.

Don't leave out important things like that. My 1 page standard resume for all of my schools ran over 1/3 - 1/2 of the second page for Tepper, and I was admitted. I think they mainly want it size 12 so its easier to read. I had to change some words that ran over on too many lines and small things like that, so mess with the margins and sentences

It is OK if your Resume flows in the second page. With a 12 point font, you cannot expect the Resume to remain in one page.
Even mine was around 1.5 pages and it did not pose any problem in the selection. So do not remove/leave out anything

So Round 2 deadline has passed and I'm watching the Application page like a hawk. The wait is killing.
Good luck to all those who applied in Round 2.

People are worrying about the size of their resume, and I, on the other hand, was such an idiot that I did not even read the instructions about the resume carefully and submitted the resume with a 10-point font. I am really worried about my prospects now.

A current student suggested that I write to admission committee about this, but I am worried that I might highlight my carelessness. Experts, any thoughts on this?

Interested in hearing a response about this as well. My resume was a combination of 14, 12, 11, and 10 point fonts (different sizes for headings, bullet points, etc). It's Arial so larger font and very clear, succinct, and legible. How strict are admissions officers about stuff like this?

Ok. So even I just realised my resume is with a size 10 font (although I did follow the formatting instructions for the essays). I'm not mailing anyone for now. I'm pretty sure that if the school has an issue with it, they will ask us to resubmit the resume with a size 12 font. This MOST DEFINITELY should not reduce the chances of admission.

I got some queries for Resume:
1) Don't worry for 10 point or 12 point. Its fine. if you are not able to sleep, drop a mail to adcom. I am sure it will be fine
2) Resume should be 1 page. If you have submitted for 1.5 page or 2 page, its fine. But do note, you need to make it 1 page before you come to Tepper. Because Career Services or 2nd Years (That is us next year) will make sure all the resumes go through multiple reviews and crisp 1 page.
3) Sorry on a trek couldn't respond to queries.

Currently BnT and GEC treks are on and the treks are just Awesome !! You guys name it and we are visiting those companies apart from Facebook :P

And All the very best for Tepper for Round 2. Last year, I was sweating it out for the applications and believe me its worth it !! 1000x times worth the effort.

Hey All,

I called the admissions office this morning about addressing a few issues in my application. She told me that minor issues, such as font sizes, don't have any bearing on the decision. But, regardless, I should upload an additional document to the application that addresses the the issues so that the admissions committee knows that I am aware and care.

Hope this helps!
