It looked like last year applicants started getting invites on 5/2 through 5/6, the equivalent of this week. I haven't seen anyone else post about an interview invite though yet - maybe that means they got more applicants in R3 or maybe their yield was really high for R1/R3 so there are less spots to give interviews to. Only speculation though.

Apologies if you're only looking for advice from R3 applicants, but I'm a R2 admit who can share some feedback.

I interviewed with a member of AdCom and honestly enjoyed every minute once I realized it was more of a friendly two-way conversation than an interview. It goes without saying that you should still do your homework and prepare, as most of the interview questions are already posted verbatim on this thread. My main point is that SOM is not trying to grill/trip you with trick questions--they really want to learn about you as a person, your goals/motivation for pursuing an MBA, and why you applied to Yale. Be confident yet humble.
