Hey, question for any other admits or applicants. Anyone else worried about how much more COVID19 will affect a one year program such as Judge compared to two year programs? With only one year and perhaps a couple months online, I'm concerned about career prospects? Haven't put my second deposit down and so just wondering what people think. Thanks
I'm in the same situation as you. Haven't paid the second deposit yet. Honestly, it is way too early to tell. If the situation worsens in your home country or in the UK, we won't even get the visa, in which case our admission would likely be deferred. If the situation improves, you'd still be right - the world would be in a recession and our career prospects would be poor. But who knows how the economy would look like in Sep 2021. Maybe it would be in an upward trend. I guess that's the risk we'll need to take. Hopefully, the brand of Cambridge would give us an edge in the market.
Hmmm... no option looks good right now. The biggest risk is, in my view, rashly rushing ahead with this September at the full fees, and then a second wave of the virus strikes. This would put us in the same unfortunate position as the current cohort.
With my limited knowledge of other pandemics in recent history, a second wave is a virtual certainty.... and so I'm not sure this September is a great idea.
