Hello,

i'm a little bit confused with the difference between distinct and not distinct combinatorics questions. You could help me with three questions:

1) Could you give me a few examples for distinct and not distinct questions and explain the difference in a few sentences?
2) Is distinct/not distinc a "synonym" for Order is important/Order doesn't matter?
2) Which formulars should I use in which cases?

Maybe I dont see the difference because I'm not a native speaker

Thanks a lot for your help!

Hello incher91, I am not sure if this will answer your exact question, but check this link out.

In case this does not help, please check on some of the reference material in the Quant section and you should definitely find something.
