(1) Plant A grows at twice the rate of plant B and at half the rate of plant C.
(2) Plant D averages 3.5 inches of growth per week.

I guess the answer is E.
1. Not sufficient, gives no detail about growth of D
2. Not sufficient, gives no detail about other plants A,B,C.

Combining both, NOt sufficient because, growth rate of D is known, but no information about other plants growth rate.

So, E should be the answer.

1 is insufficient because we do not know if plant D is faster or slower than plant A, B and C
2 is insufficient because we do not have any information for plant A, B, C

Combined together, still insufficient because we do not know if plant D is faster or slower than plant A, B, C

Ans : E

1) no relation ship is mentioned with D .
2) no information about other three plants
combined also not sufficient
