Thanks. I noticed there's an upcoming YouTube interview from someone from GMAC? I'll be there too. Can you put this in your question list please if you have one? I read for some people it's been more than 10 days and they haven't heard any decision from GMAC yet. That's really annoying waiting that long (and who knows how long more it will take!?). I wish they could give us a chance as quickly as possible, at least within the 3-5 days timeframe that they tell us, which hasn't been the case so far.

Hi. Sorry about your experience. I think next they will review and likely you will get a code to register for the test again. Several users reported that's what happened like with the pabpinor
We do not have a separate topic about it. pabpinor - do you want to create one?

Hi, sorry to hear about your experience. Curious were you taking your exam on a mac or pc? I have read somewhere the macs tend to have more glitches with the gmac software. Wondering if its an operating system issue or something else...[/quote]

Hey guys, are we allowed to use a wireless mouse for the online GMAT? Seems like candidates weren’t allowed to use one until recently, so I wanted to make sure that I can start using my wireless mouse for the test

Hey Guys!

Took the online GRE today. I was one of those who pivoted to the GRE from the GMAT post the whiteboard announcement. We don't have a GMAT centre in the country that I am in. Travelling internationally in the near future is not a possibility and I hence decided to take the plunge. In terms of prep, I reviewed my GMAT quant prep and tried to improve my vocabulary (unsuccessfully :P), took the 2 powerprep tests, 1 manhattan test and 1 paid powerprep plus test 3 (this was definitely a good final mock). Below is my experience:

Overall experience - Surprisingly good. I was lucky not to have any disruptions. My test started dot on time post all the checks. My proctor was super professional and helped me with small challenges whenever I faced them. My 10 minute break was also perfect in that my proctor contacted me again at the 9.5 minute mark and the process was quite smooth.

Sections - 3 verbal & 2 quant. Verbal was almost the same level as the powerpreps, and it was definitely hard for me to guess which section was the experimental one. Quant in terms of concepts was similar, however some questions were tricky. I would definitely say that without a strong grasp on concepts, the quant section would be hard. It is extremely easy to freak out on a tough question and make a mess of the remaining questions, so staying calm and composed is important.

Mock Score:
Powerprep 1 322 (155V, 167Q)
Powerprep 2 321 (157V, 164Q)
Manhattan 321 (160V, 161Q)
Powerprep Plus (Final Mock) 319 (155V, 164Q)

Final Score: 326 (158V, 168Q)

Overall I am satisfied with my score. There is definitely scope for improvement on the verbal, however I am not sure how big an impact 2-3 points would make. So I may or may not retake the test.

I think the online GRE is fairly glitch-free now. Go ahead and give it a shot!

Well congrats, seem you adapted well, what was your practice score range for GMAT?

And why not having a test center near you impacted your decision, anyway was going to be online, no?

FYI - Souvik just took GRE at Home (yes, I think he is crazy ?). He did it for a few scientific reasons actually. To see how one could pivot to GRE and also to see if it is easier or harder than the GMAT. Anyway, he just got his score and it was a pretty big surprise for me. I can’t spoil it however, so you will have to wait till Monday when he will be doing a YouTube Live.

Hey Pablo!

Well my practice score range was around 710-730. However, my verbal was stronger. The GRE's focus on vocabulary pulled me down some bit there.

So I tried using the online whiteboard and did not feel very comfortable. So it was the GRE online vs. traveling to take the GMAT offline if and when things ease. There was no clarity on the latter since there are visas and travel involved, so the GRE it was.

Hello!
How long does it take the score to get to the business school? I understood that we receive the official score within 7 business days, but how long does it take after I have selected the schools?
Thanks in advance!

I wish I could do all that, lol
I mean I want to do so much, Dang, souvik101990 You are badass man. Quite frankly your GMAT retake can also help you in EMBA application in future lol.
Why don't you take EA test as well and see how it goes, I am pretty sure you'll get a 170+ without a doubt
I wanna take LSAT once, people say its harder than the GMAT but I will definitely try

I've been receiving a lot of PMs regarding my frustrating GMAT Online experience on April 23, but sadly, I have nothing else to contribute at this point. I did receive an email from Pearson Vue on May 1st letting me know that I would receive a response in 3-5 business days, but still...nothing.

My credit card has 90 days of purchase protection, so I guess I'll just wait until then before I go ahead and process the chargeback, since I'd rather have a chance to actually take the GMAT Online than receive a refund...but if I'm not given that chance, then I just want my money back.

On MBA site, there is a new button for "Send GMAT Online Score," but I still have not gotten the email with my score. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to find out my online score aside from the email?

Did you end up receiving your score? I took my exam on 5/1 and this button just popped on my account as well, but no email yet.

I have the same. Anybody knows how long it took to get their scores after this button appeared?

Hey guys, an update on this post that my exam was revoked:
Short story: they refunded the $200 fee 2-3 days after the test and authorized a new test yesterday, but the test window is May 25th to June 15th. It means I can't take the test before May 25th.
Long story: On Wed my screen went black during the verbal and I lost the screen. They revoked the exam. Later that night I chatted with them on and they gave me a case number and said my case/videos recordings/etc are being reviewed by a team. On Friday I chatted with them again and gave them my case number. The guy contacted the program coordinator and they said my GMAT fee is refunded today and they are authorizing a new test for me. On Sat or Sun the $200 fee refund appeared in my credit card. On Monday I talked to them again and now news. No new test was authorized yet. On Tuesday I noticed a pre-approved test appeared on my profile. I tried to register for a new exam but it was locked and I couldn't get to to the window where you see the calendar with available dates. Chatted with them again and they contacted the program coordinator again and they fixed it right there. Now I could get to that calendar, BUT nothing was available before May 25th. They said the new authorization is restricted to the May 25th to June 15th window and I can't take the new test outside that window.
So I'm gonna take the test after May 25th.

Hi guys,
Yesterday I took the online GMAT but unfortunately my screen went black during verbal section, and the camera also got deactivated. When I logged in again after a while they said I had been off camera and they would need to revoke the exam. Last night I chatted with them and they gave me a case number and said their team will review your case. I read a few other people also had their exam revoked.
Does anyone know what will happen next? or how long does it take them to make a decision?
Will they let us resume the exam or at least give us another chance to take the exam?
bb is there a thread or something for people who've experienced this?
Thanks.

Hi ZM308, sorry I missed your post. Would do have a topic dedicated to bugs and issues that pabpinor started: https://gmatclub.com/forum/online-gmat- ... 23336.html

And I am sorry to hear about the test experience :( that sucks.

PS. Very interesting to hear that they have authorized you only after May 25. I’m guessing they have a new questions appearing every 20 days to minimize cheating issues...

Ugh. Sorry ? that’s annoying you did not hit your target score. The table that PTK put together says 670 https://gmatclub.com/forum/gmat-scores-83890.html But the overall score and each of the sectional raw scores are calculated using a different algorithm so it is possible to have minor discrepancies in the table or it is possible to have the same raw scores but different overall score and vice versa
