Time taken to complete 48 pages is 1 hour.
So, Time taken to complete 4 pages is $$\frac{4}{48}$$ hour = $$\frac{1}{12}$$ hour

Thus, the time taken is $$\frac{1}{12}$$*60 = 5 minutes...

Hence, the correct answer must be (B) 5 minutes !!

1/8 x 60 = 7.5 minutes
7.5 minutes to read 6 pages

7.5/x = 6/4
7.5(4) = 6x
30 = 6x
x = 5 minutes

Rate = work/time

first findout the rate of ahmed. i.e., 6/15/2 = 12/15 = 4/5

now 4/5 = 4/T -- > T = 5 minutes Ans : B

We are given that Ahmed takes 1/8 of an hour to complete 6 pages of homework. Thus, his rate is 6/(1/8) = 48 pages per hour.

It will take him 4/48 = 1/12 of an hour or (1/12) x 60 = 5 minutes to complete 4 pages of homework.

6 pages =1/8
1 page = 1/(8*6);
4 pages = 4* 1/48 = 1/12 th of an hr= 60/12 = 5 mins.
