Does Foster Provide Fee waivers ?

Not really. Not for international applicants but Domestic US applicants can request a hardship waiver.
P.S. It is hard for them as they are a Public School. There are some rules about it 🤷‍♂️
You can find this info in their FAQ at the very bottom of the page here: https://foster.uw.edu/academics/degree- ... dmissions/

Does Foster offer an application fee waiver?
Unfortunately, Foster is unable to offer application fee waivers. The application fee is managed by the UW Graduate School. A limited number of fee waivers are available through The Graduate School based on financial need. Please visit the Graduate School website for more information.

Unfortunately, applicants studying on F or J visas are not eligible for application fee waivers.

Hi Everyone,

Just letting you know that MIT also offers need-based application fee waiver. I’ve recently got waived.

You will have to explain your financial situation and will not need to provide supporting document when requesting (they may later ask for documents though)

To request an application fee waiver, please go to the Overview section of the Application and complete the Fee Waiver Form

Cheers,
hi, could you give us an overview as to what you wrote that got you a waiver?

any M7 school providing app fee waivers by attending some events?

Hi. I am not aware of these offering waivers unfortunately. If anyone has any information, please let me know and I will be happy to add.
The only HEC Paris App Fee waivers for MBA I have seen were at the MBA Spotlight Fair and even then we only got like 10.

Update to the McCombs app fee waiver - now attendees of in-person events are eligible for a waiver
Hi bb! I attended the in-person events but didn't find where to apply for a fee waiver. I am planning to submit my application and the system doesn't seem to have an automatic waiver. I haven't found any options on the website for waiver that would suit me. Can you please tell me how I should proceed? Thanks in advance!

Fee Waiver details for individual Schools

Harvard Business School Fee Waiver+

Harvard Business School believes that your financial circumstances should never prevent you from applying to or attending our MBA program. To request a fee waiver due to financial hardship, you may submit a need-based waiver request form. To request a need-based fee waiver, you will need to start an application and complete the fee waiver request form inside. This request must be submitted two (2) weeks before the application round deadline to which you are applying to allow for processing time. Your full application does not need to be completed or submitted by that time, just the fee waiver request form. You can find out whether you are approved for a fee waiver before you decide to apply to HBS. We ask you to share your 2024 income information (or 2023 income information for 2+2 applicants) as well as your financial circumstances and reasons for requesting a need-based fee waiver. You may wish to include information about your income, financial assets, educational debt, family obligations, and/or any extenuating circumstances that may warrant a fee waiver. Please be aware that in some circumstances, the Admissions Office may request additional documentation after you submit this form. After submitting the form, we will contact you via email to confirm whether or not we are able to provide a fee waiver. If your fee waiver request is not approved and you do not submit an application fee, your application will not be considered. Please note, admission to Harvard Business School is need-blind, which means we do not take your financial circumstances into account when making an admissions decision. The information collected in the fee waiver is not shared with the MBA Admissions Board. If you are accepted to Harvard Business School, you will have the opportunity to apply for need-based financial aid in a separate financial aid process.
Stanford GSB Fee Waiver+

The Stanford MBA Program application fee is $275 and is nonrefundable. We recognise that, for some, this application fee may be a barrier to applying. To reduce the financial burden, we offer the following application fee waivers and fee reductions:
● Reduced Fee for Defer-Eligible Applicants: If you are in your final year of a bachelor’s degree or a joint bachelor/graduate program (and your degree will be conferred between 01 October 2025 and 30 September 2026) or you are currently enrolled in a graduate program (which you began immediately following an undergraduate or undergraduate/graduate program), you qualify for a reduced application fee of $100.
● Military Service Fee Waiver: U.S. military veterans who have been honorably discharged, and those serving in the U.S. military reserves. If you are eligible for a waiver, upload one of the following documents when prompted in the online application:
  • Option 1: Proof-of-service statement or letter, dated within the last 45 days
  • Option 2: Copy of most recent enlistment contract, dated within the last 365 days
  • Option 3: Copy of Tuition Assistance (TA) form showing date of separation (if applicable)
  • Option 4: Copy of your most recent leave and earnings statements showing estimated time of separation, dated within the last 45 days
Alternatively, you may submit other documentation, but it must indicate your current military status and the date you will be separating from that status. (Do not submit a copy of your military ID.)
● Sí Se Puede Latin America Fee Waiver: If you are from Latin America (including Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands, Central America, Mexico, and South America, including Brazil) — and you make less than US $40,000 per year — your MBA application fee will automatically be waived in the 2025–2026 application year when you submit your application. The salary currency conversion to U.S. dollars will be calculated based on exchange rates on 16 June 2025.
● Need-Based Fee Waiver: If paying the application fee poses an extreme financial hardship, you may apply for a need-based fee waiver. You must complete the items below in your admissions application before requesting a waiver:
  • Hold a U.S. bachelor’s degree or international equivalent

    • Only under rare circumstances will we consider exceptions to this policy
  • Take the required test(s) or have proof of scheduled testing before the round deadline:

    • GMAT or GRE
    • English language proficiency test, if applicable
  • Start an MBA application for direct admission (defer-eligible applicants qualify for a reduced fee)
  • Enter your primary citizenship
  • Add your current job and employer information in Professional Experience
  • Upload a current resume
Once you have finished these steps in your application, you must submit an additional form and supporting documentation. Contact [email protected] for further instructions. All materials are due by 29 August 2025. We will not consider any Round 1 fee waiver requests after this date. Waivers are offered on a first come, first served basis.
