Received an interview invite on wednesday. One of my friends did too. So I guess the invites have started coming in!!

one of my frnds also got it on wednesday. I am so very eager and waiting for an interview invite. After being dinged by a all the good clgs i applied to, this is my only hope for a good clg. Otherwise i might have to give GMAT again and apply next year

Hi guys! I got an interview invite 5 days back! Anyone else from Mumbai with an interview invite? Can anyone tell me if its better to schedule an interview with an alum or skype with student? This is the only invite I've got, so nervous! Also, is it mandatory to schedule the appointment within a week of receiving an invite?

To those from India who got an interview invite, Does your application status say "Complete" now ? Mine still says incomplete with TOEFL on the required things. I'm wondering if the Incomplete / Complete has any kind of relation to whether the app has been read or not. Thanks in advance !!

Hi, My app status just says "Application Submitted: 01/21/2014" and "Awaiting" for the TOEFL score report, in the checklist...

So I have way too much time on my hands and I'm dying for some word from Texas, so I did some investigating. Reading another forum, I remembered that Youtube offers analytics on your videos. I did the video essay and from what I can gather, it has not been viewed by anyone recently. I'm taking this to mean they haven't reviewed my candidacy yet. I'm just curious, can anyone with an interview invite who did a video essay confirm their video was looked at shortly before they received an invite? I'm curious if there is a correlation.

jayakalyanteja - That's a pretty intelligent assumption. Mine still says incomplete as well, so perhaps that means our apps haven't been processed/read yet. Only time will tell! BizSchoolorBust - Another great hypothesis. You inspired me to look into my youtube analytics. Interestingly, I have had 29 total views (since Jan 5 posting) and 3 views from the state of Texas--2 on the 17th and one on the 18th of Jan. Upon further examination, I doubt these views are from UT adcoms as I narrowed down the 3 views originating in Texas and the "traffic source" tab says that one view is from a google search, one from youtube search, and one from "external website." Are we overthinking this whole thing yet?

Haha, I did the same on Vimeo for my video essay. I had submitted my application on October 15th for Round 1 and had 6 views by October 18th and about 25 views just before the notification date. Unfortunately, I couldn't track where the video was being viewed, but my guess is that they probably haven't reached your application yet. Just hope for the best - Good luck!

Hi, There are a couple of things under "Recommended" in the My Status App. Do we have to fill/complete those for our application to be considered? Even I have TOEFL under To-do things. Not sure how long its going to take for them to accept it.
