I was waitlisted and then was denied in the 2020 admission cycle. As per the website, in the 2022 admission cycle, my application would be considered a new application. Is my understanding correct?

1) While most graduates from US business schools end up working in the US, how easy/hard is it for a Ross grad to seek employment outside the US, specifically in the Middle East region? How strong is alumni network in that region?

2) If someone has been engaging in social work/volunteering since childhood on numerous occasions/capacities (as a way of life; without any certifications), but has not necessarily taken time out from professional career to engage themselves in social work, is it equally valuable/significant?

3) If a candidate hasn't tried out multiple job roles/industries since undergrad, but rather stayed at the same firm (Big 4 consulting; shared services) for various personal/ professional reasons, what is Ross AdCom's view of the "less adventurous" candidate?

4) India is predominantly a shared services/back-end offices market. Client interactions are usually restricted to being virtual (mails/Skype). Does Ross School of Business consider the work experience of someone coming from a shared services/back-end office environment to add value/diversity to the classroom? How does the AdCom view that experience when compared to that of a front-end consultant, when one of the main reasons for the candidate to do an MBA is to transition to a front-end consulting role?

5) While we understand that application essays have to be original and written by the candidates themselves, is it okay to run our essays through free online tools such as Grammarly, which corrects grammatical/ sentence structure errors, or would AdCom prefer the raw content?

2) I want to pursue Marketing, but I am always advised not to do so, the reason being that companies do not hire non-US citizens for Marketing roles in the US. How true is this?

As there are many Indian students applying every year for the MBA and highly majority are from engineering background. Does the admission committee expect higher GMAT from Indians ? And also what if the candidate has different background and they are not from engineering.

Hello, I'm a dentist in India presently with 1yr work Experience as dentist (will be 2yrs if I join in 2022) and I own a social media marketing agency(nearly 10months), I have 1 national publication, 1 under review, attended many national conferences and won a few presentations. Good extra curriculars like I play cricket and basketball. I was the main organizer for our College fest and Graduation. I have a GMAT score of 740. Ross is my dream school to pursue MBA.
Can I know what are my chances to getting into Ross? and what does Ross look in a Candidate?
And I have always heard Non-Us citizens have a tough time getting a job because of H1B, Is it True? please do help

Hi, I have been told by a lot of people that admissions committee looks at your hobbies besides GMAT/work experience and judge on the basis of how well have you excelled in your hobbies. Is this true? And what if I have a hobby like painting which I follow only for the purpose of self satisfaction and nothing beyond it. How will the admissions committee respond to that?

Hello, I would like to ask several questions please:
1. I’m a US citizen and my bachelor’s degree was obtained in non-English program. I’ve been working in the US for over 9 years. Is waiver offered for TOEFL? If so how can I request?
2. I held 3 different positions with same employer. If the online application has an Employer Section that asks for the role and responsibilities, can I include all roles/responsibilities or include only the ones from my current position?
3. If the online application has an option to list 3 awards and/or 3 extra.activities, should those be different awards and activities than what’s included in the resume? Or can be the same? Or list them only in the online application but not in the resume?
4. I have 9+ years of experience. Is there a set number of students for older applicants or?
5. Interviews are conducted by staff or alumni? And duration?
6. In case LT goal is asked during interview or other application process- how far should we be looking? 5-10 years or 10+ years?

Question for ADCOM- How you address the fact that one candidate might be among the top 1% of the class or college with mere 61% score as many state government institutions or the university has stringent scoring scheme & many have "very easy-to-score" deemed process, in that case, GPA might not show the real quality of the candidate?

Hello Adcom, Is there any age w.r.t to work experience acceptance range for Tepper, will a 34 yr old with 7 years of experience will be in the possible case for admission, what should be the GMAT scored required for such candidates? Can you share the class profile with such candidates who belong to the extreme end of the spectrum still making it to the final admission.

Thanks for organising the event.

I would like to understand the chances of my profile (or similar ones) receiving an admit at the business school.
I am apprehensive that my profile might not be seriously reviewed by Business schools for not having a undergraduate degree (4/3 years program with a GPA)

I am Indian chartered accounted (Equivalent to a US CPA) -Recognised as one of the hardest professional qualification in India with a candidate pass percentage as low as 3%. This is a highly coveted program in India and the recent legislation have recognised the program as a Masters equivalent program in India. However, the Program does'nt offer a GPA grading system. 
However, my work experience has been commendable. Sharing a overview of my profile:

Education qualification:

GMAT: 750
Chartered accountant (Top 1%)- 3 yr Apprenticeship programme with KPMG (Amount the 4 out ~1000 applicants selected in South India region)

Work experience (~5 Years):

2 yrs EY- Investment banking
2 yrs Boston Consulting group - Strategy Consulting
1.5 yrs E- Commerce start up (Among Top 2 in India): 
 -Chief of Staff and head strategic projects
 - Co- Founder: Lending business (Business unit within Company)

Would like to understand how would by profile be evaluated by the business school and the chances of getting selected for the MBA programme.
