I am Samriddhi from India. Request your team to help evaluate my profile and understand which universities would be safe for me to apply to based on the same. Following is my details:
· Demographics (nationality, gender): Indian, Female
· Education: KIIT University, 7.9 CGPA, major - Computer Science Engineering, Batch of 2016
· GMAT: 690 Q48 V37
· Work experience (briefly highlight amount of work experience, industries, roles, promotions, special accomplishments, international exposure): 5 Years work experience in Enterpreneurship & Marketing. Started as a Marketing Associate at Radix(Handled international accounts), founded an import company for a Mongolian skincare brand, becoming there exclusive importer & distributor in India. Ran the start up for 3 years but it couldn't survive covid. Worked with a boot strapped pet care company, heading their marketing for a year after that. Currently work at IPAC(a political consultancy), heading their digital content team for an upcoming assembly election.
· Extracurricular activities (briefly highlight notable undergraduate and post-undergraduate ones): Active in theatre, sports, social activism on women related issues. Worked with NGOs on women related violence.
· Post-MBA goals: Work with growth stage start-ups in their marketing vertical, aiming to become CMO in 6-8 years from finishing MBA. Eventual goal is to start my own business again with the right amount of experience, network & resources.
· Target schools: Need more clarity on this but so far, this is the list I'm looking at:

· Extra info: My GMAT Score is from 2018, making this the last year I can use it. As of now, my work schedule will not allow me to take 1-2 months off an attempt another GMAT before Feb 2023 so this year, I'd like to give my best with my existing GMAT.

Thanks for reaching out! Great to see that you are targeting a broad range of schools. We hear you regarding wanting to use your 690 GMAT score, but want to note that it is becoming less common to see applicants get accepted to top 10-20 b-schools with GMAT scores below 700. That said, test scores, while important, are not the be-all and end-all.
If you are happy with your current score, now it the time to think about how to articulate your career goals and showcase your experience in the best light. It is great to see that you have solid leadership experience through work and some interesting extracurriculars. In terms of developing strong career goals, think about how you will make your unique mark in the marketing industry. The key is to show leadership and demonstrate how your past experience and perspective can be leveraged during your future career path. Check out this blog for more specific guidance.
Since you are coming from a competitive pool as an Indian applicant, a lot will come down to figuring out how to differentiate yourself. I am an ISB Alum, CO15, and have been assisting applicants to get into global business schools since then.
Your GMAT score is good but ideally, a score of at least 710 is recommended for a strong chance in the choice of schools that you have mentioned. If you have the time and resources, I suggest you give it another shot. Nevertheless, a good GMAT score is just a part of the application. A stellar essay combining your future goals with your endeavors and ambitions will make your application strong. Showcase the results you have generated through the projects that you have undertaken and what values you would bring to the school you are applying to.
