Hi all. I'm here to share my experience working with Mitch Hunt aka GMATGuruNY in raising my GMAT score from 620 to 730.
By way of background, before meeting Mitch, I spent about 5 months taking a Manhattan Prep group class combined with some self study. When my score failed to improve, I turned to private tutoring. I started to make material progress within the first 2 weeks of working with Mitch (we met once a week on the weekend due to my limited schedule). My weakness was Quant/timing. I found Mitch's approach to tutoring very effective and thorough. He explains every problem from multiple different angles to solidify understanding. He has taught me a whole suite of hacks/shortcuts to improve my timing. Mitch was very well prepared for each and every lesson. Every time we identified a weakness or a gap in my knowledge, he would pull up practice problems on the specific topic real-time. Mitch provides his own study materials for homework. He is incredibly responsive, flexible and all around a great guy.
While working 15hr days made my GMAT prep experience very challenging, I'm very grateful to have met Mitch who helped me accomplish a meaningful improvement in my score.

Congrats! If you don’t mind sharing, what do you feel is a good amount of time one would need to hire a tutor for? Do you feel it is 5,10, or more hours? What would you recommend (obviously money is limited with everyone).
