Hi experts,
I am a re-applicant. Also I cant seem to find the essay for re-applicants in the application portal.
I will submit my application by December 15th
Please evaluate my profile.
My profile:
Age: 32
GMAT: 680 (QA48/VA35/IR8/AWA4) - should I retake it ?
Academic Profile:
B Com completed in 2006
Chartered Accountant - completed in 2012
Work Experience:
Working in one of Big4s (EY/KPMG/Deloitte/PWC) in the Mergers and Acquisitions - tax and regulatory department. Its a consulting profile where we advice clients on tax and regulatory implications of undertaking corporate restructurings. Work also involves executing such restructurings.
Have been in the Client facing role since the start and have been responsible for building relationships with existing clients.
Overall work ex:
5 years (due for promotion to Manager in June 2018)
Extra curricular:
Have won amateur championships for Snooker and Badminton - don't have record to prove it
CSR:
Was part of Mentor me India - mentoring under-privileged children
Have also participated in Company initiated CSR activities
Post MBA ambitions:
Management consulting role at a top tier firm. Tier 2 firms should also suffice.

Hi Rakibullah,
Your GMAT score is great, and 5.5 years at Nestle sounds meaty and substantial. What about your achievements and general impact at work?
Gong by the stats, overall things look good to me. I'd focus on getting your story together- what have you done so far, what do you wish to do in the future and why do you need an MBA for that?
If you are applying from Bangladesh, addressing why Toronto is a good place to study will complete the loop on the career goals.

Hi,
Can you mention what stage of the application did you reach last year? If you were dinged without an interview, it could be in large part because of the low strength of your application. If you had the interview, you should analyze deeper into what did not go right with the interview.
Your age is on the higher side of the Rotman class profile. There is also a large gap between your undergrad and the CA. Were you working at this time and is it part of the 5 year work experience you have mentioned?
Your GMAT score may be considered low for the Indian applicant pool. I have seen most Rotman admits with 700+ GMAT scores. So, if you can retake it before the R2 deadlines, it will only benefit you. As a reapplicant, it may demonstrate your strong intent to study at Rotman.
LAstly, I'll add, its never good applying to only one b-schools (if thats what you are doing). So, identify and explore more b-schools where you would like to study.
