I have admits for Full-Time MBA from HKU-LBS Track and UBC-Sauder

I have to pay the deposit in 2 weeks time, I'd be glad if you assist.

Brief Backgroud:

Indian

5 years of work experience in June 2015

Tech Industry (Analytics)

Post my MBA I would want to work for a couple of years in US/UK/Canada/Singapore/HK

Concentrating on Consulting Industry

Where is it easier to find a job?
Which school would you select and why?

Getting a job is entirely upto you and the statistics changes every year depending on the opportunities and the economic climate at the time. I would suggest you make a decision based on what industry you want to be a part of and where such opportunities are more readily available (in your case Vancouver or Hong Kong). Also take the working culture into consideration. It will be entirely different when it comes to these two options.

Hi All,

I wanted some advice about Sauder full-time MBA. Basically, I have been offered a place at Sauder for fall of 2015. I also have an offer from Desautels in Montreal. I had a couple of questions that I needed your help on:
1. Given that the Sauder full-time MBA is a 16 month program, are international students eligible for a 3 year work permit or 16 month work permit after the program.
2. What is the impact of choosing Sauder considering that it is based on the west coast in Vancouver. What is your opinion on fears that Vancouver is away from the major Canadian economic hub of Toronto- Montreal etc.
3. Is it true that opportunities in the Vancouver area are lower as compared to east Canada, salaries are lower and cost of living is higher.
4. What are the top sectors for employment in the Vancouver region. Is Sauder a good place for supply chain/ logistics related specialisation.

I will be really thankful if you can share your experience.

Sincerely,

Gaurav

The employment opportunities in Vancouver are awful, speaking as someone who lives here. There's no point in coming here.
