Hi guys, I am preparing to give my GMAT in May 2018, but I am preparing from
Manhattan GMAT Strategy guides Fifth edition which was released in April 2012. Is it ok to study from these guides or has the syllabus or GMAT exam format drastically changed from 2012 onwards ? Any help on this will be much appreciated. Thank you so much
Hi rohitsood43,
With each edition the guides have only gotten better. Yes there have been some drastic changes especially in the Sentence Correction, Reading comprehension and Number Properties guides in that they have introduced some new strategies and added some new concepts which are very helpful. If you are on a budget, you can purchase the aforementioned guides. If, however, you do not mind spending, go with the new guides and you will not be disappointed. Plus you will get access to all 6
MGMAT tests and online question bank with each guide, which is great. To complement your guides, I would also encourage you to purchase the latest version of
OG and Quant and verbal review for some great additional practice.
Hope this helps. All the best.
