what is 'it' referring to?...there are two plural subjects before it...galaxies and high speeds...both of them can't be referred by it. Hence incorrect.
(D) since some galaxies move away from earth at such high speeds that the light from them never reaches the eye causing them to be invisible.
Verb+ing without comma refers to the nearest noun. In this case 'causing' is modifying 'eye'...so this sentence is making the eyes to be invisible
So incorrect.
ex: Mark played with the dog wearing a black collar.
Here who was wearing the black collar?
...certainly Dog.....so wearing is modifying dog (nearest noun).
(E) some galaxies remain invisible because they move away from earth at such high speeds that the light from them never reaches the eye.----There are no errors in this statement. This statement is giving the right essence of the meaning that why some galaxies are invisible to us.
