It's very uncommon that late, but definitely happened. My guess is that our class was all set, then at the last minute someone changed their mind (either another school or to do something else) so the adcom called the next person on the wait list. They definitely reevaluate the wait list folks after each deadline/response date though, so for most people it doesn't take that long for a final yes/no.

Re applicant, applied to round 1. Got a call stating that its still in process need more time.

correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't round1 (EA) binding? once you are accepted by KFBS you automatically give up all other schools' applications so it doesn't look too rush to decide on anything even within 5 days, basically you just need to evaluate the cost of tuition etc. and nothing else...

No..the UNC early action round is not binding as the Duke's early round. The only difference in UNC's early round is that you have to submit a higher amount as deposit (2.5k).

anyone has any clue if UNC is still going to award fellowships....or are all the fellowship mails already out???

You should be able to check your fellowships on the portal at the link down below the decision link. But the email will be sent later on for the exact amount of it. Posted from my mobile device

bro..if there is no link below the decision link..then???? My decision page just says: your personalized URL is :........ and then it gives a link to accept the offer... so I am wondering if they will give any fellowship to people like us or not....
