They send out a very select few R3 admissions at the start of Feb. That's obviously a good thing for those people, but that doesn't preclude admission or even money from the rest of the R3 applicants!

Hi Guys,

I had my face-to-face interview today morning with Brittany Craig, Assistant Director of Admissions, in Gurgaon. I must say that it was a very pleasant experience, with the questions similar to the ones posted here earlier. I just sent her a thank you note, and in fact received her reply within 15 minutes, as I type this!!! I am very impressed with the warmth and the positive vibes; it says a lot about the Kenan Flagler culture.

Now keeping my fingers crossed for the results.

Congratulations to the admits, and all the best to all aspirants out there!

PS. I had applied in R3, mid Jan.

Yes, it was a blind interview (Brittany specifically mentioned this at the outset that she had not reviewed my application essays but just my resume). She did not ask me a lot of questions but that was mainly my fault as my replies were slightly long winded. I was asked the following:
1. What are you doing currently?
2. Why an MBA?
3. What are your short term and long term goals?
4. How did you land up into your current organization?
5. How has your experience been of leading a multi-cultural team? What was your learning?
6. Share your project experience for [one of the projects for which I had been at client site].
7. Do you have any questions for me?

Indian applicant. Submitted on 14th Jan. Received the 'Application Complete' email on 2nd Feb. Haven't heard anything since then. Its indeed been a nervous waiting period!

I know! Every time a get an email notification sound, my heart skips a beat. I submitted on 11th Jan and received the "application complete" notification on 16th Jan. Haven't heard, since. :(

Round 3 indian applicant. Submitted my application on the 14th of January. I received 2 application complete emails, one on the 21st and then again on the 2nd. But nothing after that !

Round 3 applicant. Just got done with a F2F interview with Ms. Brittany Craig at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. It went pretty well and was the most conversational interview I've ever attended. It was very different from the rest of the interviews I've given, in the sense that it felt very much like a free flowing conversation centred around my resume. There were no behavioural questions and there was no "Walk me through..." question. I'm listing the questions that I remember.

*Brittany asked me to talk about my undergraduate school and my experience.
*She then moved onto the first company I worked for and asked me what was the best project I worked in and what it taught me.
*Then she asked me if I had a time machine, what is one thing I would go back and tell myself at the start of my working career
*She asked me what are few qualities in me that, I think, my recommenders would have written about.
*My ST and LT goals.
*Then we moved onto my current work ex and there were a few back and forth questions related to that (since I run a business she wanted to understand how I would manage it once I go for my MBA, how many people report to me, who has been a great influence on my working style etc.)
*Why Kenan Flagler?
*Questions for her.

She was on a tight schedule so each interview was strictly 30 mins long. Mine was 25 mins long with the last 5 mins reserved for my questions. It was a really good experience for me and if you know what you're about it should be easy. Hoping to crack this great school.
