Hi All,

Received an interview invite for Jan round. Doing a virtual interview, as there isnt an off-campus one available in Singapore.
Would really appreciate some tips from others who have gone through the interview process (questions, things to consider/avoid etc.)

Thanks.

Hi dietrying,

I'm Singaporean, interviewed with Haas a few weeks ago. Drop me a PM, happy to share more

It's eerie to not see many invites being reported since last week!

Is it over for those who haven't received any invite with around 3 weeks to go to decision date?

I think there is still hope. I've heard about interview invites being extended only days before the decision deadline. Also, after my interview the admissions department told me that decisions would be released on March 22nd - 15 days away.

Hey guys, my application status in the Portal still says "Your application has been received and you will be considered for Round 2." Is this status supposed to ever change to "Under Review"?

I received the "ready for review" email early Feb.

Does the fact that I made it to the interview stage mean my GMAT is good and I don’t need to retake?

I had a friend last year who got the invite three days prior to decision date, so don't lose hope with it.

Wow! I am guessing a Skype interview then the very next day? Did he get in?

Hi! If I remember correctly, people who were invited on last couple of days before the decision deadline in R1, were given extra couple of weeks to schedule the interview and where informed about the decision in the beginning of Jan.

That would be great! I have no news either yet and we are 3 days to go.

My invitation for the interview was lost in heap of e-mails amidst all new-year business travels. Thankfully HAAS sent a note on my other e-mail id, which I was using to communicate with them prior to submitting the application.

I'm glad they did, otherwise the only option would have been to do a remote interview since I'm on the road again for last couple of weeks.

My interview went pretty OK I guess. I was interviewed by the director herself : Liz. It lasted for over 40 minutes. All typical question:

1) Timeline of my last 13 years of experinece
2) Why MBA - Why Now - Where are you heading and how MBA would help
3) Principle of HAAS - How do you connect to them ..Why are you a fit ?
4) What do you bring to the table ? Why you ?
5) Family ? What other activities besides drudging :)
6) Interests.

For point-6, I had an anecdote from personal experience and she kind-of was *really* interested to hear the story so we went beyond 30 minutes. I found her genuinely interested and surprisingly myself really in the flow .

I felt pretty OK after the interview. Let see now .

Best of Luck and happy to answer any specific questions anyone has . Cheers!
