I have couple of questions about the interview..
1. Is it a blind interview?
2. I couldn't find the details of my interviewer while scheduling the interview. Is this rude to ask for the details beforehand ? Or have I missed the details ?

It’s blind interview. Most of the time interviewers will be one representative from admission team, so you might not need to ask for details in advance. Also, 10 mins before the interview, you will receive an email from the interviewer who will send you the zoom link - then you will know who that person is

I had my interview today. It was a blind interview. I have only one tips. Know your resume well. Mine was pretty conversational. Mainly about my past work experience. Also the questions such as, Why MBA? Why Simon etc.

I was asked to reply to a question in the chat box. " How do you stay updated with the global news? What are the recent events ?" something in this line of argument. i was given 3 minutes to write a response.

I had my interview 2 weeks ago and I chose to do a face to face interview on campus. I honestly felt I was over prepared for the interview. It was more of a conversation than an interview. I got the usual questions background, why mba, why simon? However, the questions came across as having a conversation. For example, after I described my professional and academic background, she found a subject in my answer and inquired further along that subject. I would suggest people have maybe one or two cool work stories which can highlight what you do; a problem, a solution you implemented and any positive results. I did not come across any situational questions and the interview lasted maybe 20-25 mins. She asked if I had any questions and we talked about school, Rochester, where I live, fun activities etc for almost 15 minutes.

A suggestion for people applying with a technical background, try dumbing (?) down your work experience. They are interested in getting to know you.

Got done with my interview. It was a blind interview. Lasted 30 minutes. Conversational in nature. The interviewer makes you feel very comfortable.
Questions were:

Why MBA again? Short term goals and long term goals
Why Simon?
What would you add to Simon as a community?
Are you willing to consider other career options in case your short term choice of opportunity does not materialise
What would you bring to the table?
What were the top accomplishments that you feel you’ve had
Biggest challenge in your professional career
So how do you stay updated to the global news
Do you have any questions ?

A chat box question which requires written response " Who do you admire and why? "

I had my interview last wednesday. It was quite conversational and had similar questions as mentioned in earlier posts:
why simon?
why mba?
will you be willing to take any other job if short term goals donot materialize?
Did you have any leadership experience before?

None of the behavioral questions such as tell me about a time when....
it was quite friendly and layed back as compared to any other job interview.
Lasted for about 20-25 mins.
Did contain a question where i had to type in the chat box.


Now the anxious period starts..!!
