Applied ED in early October, with a hold for final GMAT. Submitted final GMAT on 10/25 and received an invitation to interview less than a week later - hopefully a good sign. First interview match is unavailable so I have reached out to the second, who is far from my industry and graduated in '95, so I am somewhat nervous. [#permalink]

Don’t be nervous. Older and experienced alumni are definitely more fun to meet, regardless of industry. Someone who graduated in 95 will be less dogmatic and more practical. He will still be expected to ask the usual questions (why mba, why columbia), so have good answers for those.

I applied Regular Decision end of September, seems like I might still be waiting for another month based on word about ED progress, starting to second guess that decision but here we are

yea I applied on Oct 4th and still haven't heard back (given there was no interview offer, I suppose I'm just waiting for the formal rejection).

Sorry were you ED or Regular Decision? If you were RD I dont think any interview invites will go out for still some time

If I wasn't notified about either with my offer of admission, should I assume I did not get awarded any $$? Thanks for the intel!

Congratulations on getting it :). No announcement of Financial Aid or Fellowships will be announced till Jan/Feb is my understanding.

Sure thing. My timeline was as follows:
9/30 App submitted
10/15 Interview Invite
10/26 Interview
10/27 interview feedback submitted, maybe even the day before (this was part of a "super staurdays" interview session with year 2 Hermes students vs. alumni. I think they did this for early decision applicants as it was not similar to what past students have told me. When I was leaving, the interviewer told me that he was going to submit feedback immeditaely after I left, within the next 20 min)
10/29 (5:30PM) Call from Admissions that I was accepted
10/30 Official offer email via portal, received at 11:00am

My interview feedback was submitted 10/30 but I haven't heard anything back yet. Really enjoyed the interview process and the conversations with the alumni/current students. Hope I get the chance to be part of the community.

Hey all, I was just accepted to Columbia. Timeline: 10/4 application submitted, 10/21 interview invite, 11/1 interview, 11/4 feedback, 11/6 acceptance call. Also, for all of you that took the GMAC Executive Assessment and have no idea if you did well (like me before getting accepted), I scored 157 and the admissions officer told me that was a good score.

Mentioned a few pages back. Quoting myself here.

Just a datapoint, my friend submitted his application in August last year regular decision and did not receive his interview invite until after Thanksgiving, so given that time frame, I would not expect an interview invite at the earliest around late November, early December.

Give you only interviewed 4 days ago, I think you are nowhere near considered long. You will be fine
