Waitlisted candidates - do you know if it's okay to send the adcom an email regarding the update or you're required to update them via the online application portal only? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Send them an email stating that you are updating XYZ and ask them that you've updated through the portal, should you mail them the same. Why is the adcom there for, right? Also ask them what can you do to get out of the waitlist
Accepted for R2. Got a call two days. I'm wondering why they don't just send an email or upload the information of our offers online, rather than make us wait for the mail.
Congratulations! I suspect they wait to provide details via the mail as it gives those who have been admitted a chance to consider it after their initial excitement has worn down. This way, you can make the decision very logically and without the euphoria of having gotten in distracting you. That, or it's possible a different committee or department formalizes the scholarship consideration than the admissions.
I applied in R3 so I've got a way to go before I hear. But I hope to see you there!

Hello I interviewed with Simon on 31st Jan. How soon after the interview can I expect the result?

I interviewed on 16th Dec but still awaiting my results. They typically announce results in around 25 days but that is not always the case. I reached out to the AdCom and they replied that results will be announced before the notification deadline i.e. 20th Mar (for R2). If you get any other updates do let me know as well. Thanks.
