The best video tutorials for both verbal and quant is Thursdays with Ron videos.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCTQlKd ... /playlists

For RC:
Power Score Bible is best to me. This book explained how to comprehend an RC completely.

You can also watch a videos of Dana for science passage:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ULZuU9WcYM0

For CR:
Apart from Thursdays with Ron videos, you can also purchase Interact on-demand videos of Manhattanprep. Their CR and SC is perfectly fine.

For SC:
Egmat's SC is not bad. You can check them.

Hi subh12356,

If you are currently scoring around 600 on your CATs/mocks, then you will have to make some significant improvements (likely to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections) before you will be able to consistently score 700 - and that training will take time. There's no harm in taking the GMAT as scheduled, but you could save some money by pushing back your Test Date.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) What type of study routine have you been following over the last 2 months? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

I am getting a 600 on an average on practice tests from third party and got a 580 on official GMAT Practice test.
Q47 V23
My verbal is coming out to be very weak. I want to aim for a 700 and I have only 15 days.

I am thinking to reschedule my exam, I know I will be able to push quants to a 49 in 15 days because the questions I marked a wrong answer was few 550 level questions because I didn’t read the question properly. Geometry and Combination are places I need to work hard.

I am clueless for Verbal and how to proceed with it. I have been studying GMAT from 2 months now and I think I will have to reschedule it. But if someone can tell me how can I work hard towards my verbal part in a proper manner. It would be very helpful. I am not looking to take up tuitions just for verbal. Ready to purchase books and work on the basics. So if someone can guide me it will be very helpful

Hi

As far as the verbal prep goes, I would recommend you to follow this order - SC->CR-RC. The reason for this is very specific. Each question type on the GMAT is testing a specific skill. SC tests your comprehension skills. CR tests comprehension & analytical skills. Finally, RC builds on the previous two skills and also tests your ability to be able to grasp the central point of the passage. Thus when you learn in this order, it's much more effective.

For the specifics, I would advise when you prepare, don't just learn the concepts and start practicing questions. Follow a 3 phase approach as follows

1. Learn the concepts.
2. Learn the application of concepts. This means that you need to learn the methodologies of solving each question type. The best approach to sole questions. This is the only way to be able to answer 700+ level questions correctly and consistently.
3. Practice questions. Go through the solutions of each question step-by-step to learn from your mistakes.

Finally, I would recommend you to check out these videos. They should be really helpful ->

So basically I can easily put around 30 hours a week. In Quants I am improving and practicing questions and working on areas I am weak. I am hoping to push my quants score to a 49 or 50. Since I have postponed it to 25th September, I have 2 more months to prepare.

I have given 3 or 4 mocks
one from veritas in which i got a 47 on quants and 26 on verbal and
also gave a mock from Kaplan in which I scored a 47 in quants and 25 in verbal.
I gave one mock from experts global in which I scored a 48 in quants and 29 in verbal.
But in official mock I scored a 47 in quants and 23 in verbal.
So at this point I am pretty sure my focus should be more on verbal and for quants with practice I am sure I can get a 50.
Since I work full time a proper plan for 3-4 hours a day during weekdays and 6-7 hours in weekends can actually help me.
I just need guidance of how to proceed in verbal like which books are important and solving which questions will help me gain grip in verbal part
I am planning to apply in the month of October to colleges in UK and Europe.

One thing that may help for SC is to find a good idiom list relevant for the GMAT.
