Hi,
First of all, I'd like to thank the GMATClub community for helping me through the GMAT preparations and my research for school applications. GMATClub has been an end to end interactive service provider as far as the entire international MBA area is concerned.
Now coming back to the topic of discussion:
I have a R1 admit from Emory ($80k Scholarship) and Georgetown ($40K Scholarship). In addition to these two, I have 2 waitlists, one at Kellogg and one at Cornell. There are two questions that I have to work upon:
1. Between Emory and Georgetown- which school should I choose?
2. Should I let go the admits and wait for the waitlists to clear?
ST Goals: Post MBA, I look forward to join consulting (operations practice). Plan B- Operations Management(as in Amazon).
LT Goals: Start an operations consulting firm in India
GMAT- 720 (Q-49,V-40)
TOEFL- 106
Background: I have been working in India for around 7 years after college. I am working with an established CPG firm. I have taken up roles in production and operations management. Currently, I am heading a large-scale manufacturing facility for the firm.
Things that I have to consider:
1. Apart from scholarship, the total cost will be on loan.
2. Class size
3. International %
4. Total Cost- School + Living
5. MBA brand value
6. My wife stays in Berkeley. She is pursuing research in biochem (Genetics, protein segregation, etc). I have applied to Haas. Results awaited. So, Ideally if Haas doesn't work out, opportunities for her would also be very important.
Thanks a lot in Advance.
Best,
Abhishek
