Could you please provide feedback on my profile.
B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in Mechnical Engg, 2003
MS from University of Oklahoma Norman in Robotics / Mech, 2005
Registered Professional Engg in Texas since 2010
10.5 yrs of work exp in Oil & Gas in Houston - design, analysis, project management, installation, construction of subsea projects
GMAT: 680 Q48 V34 IR7
Target Schools: Kellogg, Booth, Haas for Weekend MBA program
Reason for MBA: Switch careers into consulting (probably energy consulting) for few years and then move into executive role within Oil and Gas
Questions:
1. Should I retake GMAT? I was scoring above 700 in last 2 weeks of Veritas moc tests and Q51 in 4 tests. (2 months of total prep)
2. Any recommendations on preparing for interview.
3. I also have interest in getting into commodity trading. I have personal trading experience for 3 years with options and futures. returns of 40% in 2015 and 135% in 2016. Am I too late for such a drastic career change and am I suitable based on my experience/knowledge?

A 700 will certainly strengthen your candidacy especially since it seems you have the capacity to hit this score. Although, practice tests tend to be a bit higher than the actual tests so keep this in mind. Overall, PT programs are less demanding when it comes to admission, but given your applicant pool is overrepresented in MBA admissions a slightly higher score may help you out here
