Hi Everyone,

What kind social life should I expect in Bloomington.
How easy is it find accommodation near to the school.

Great question! The social life scene in Bloomington is fantastic. While it is a smaller city, there are still activities that you can find to fulfill any need you're looking for. There is downtown area (small, but quaint) with great restaurants and bars, there's great hiking, musical shows, great plays that come to perform at IU, and some great museums. There really is something for everyone here, and at a much lower cost compared to major cities!

Hello,

Thanks for agreeing to do this!
- Kelley is known to be a great marketing school. How exactly is it so? How have the career opportunities been like for int'l students interested in Marketing
- How is the larger IU brand perceived?
- What kind of activities do students pursue outside of classes around Bloomington? Thanks!

I'll address your questions below:
-Our marketing program is very strong here, and Kelley has built a reputation of being a great marketing school. There are two different tracks to take - business marketing (B2B) or consumer marketing (B2C) - although there can be crossover between the two. Our marketing academies really set us apart, where we gain experiential learning experiences, which allow us to bridge the gap between what we learn in the classroom and the real business world. We have great faculty that have some amazing connections, which are passed down to us first hand. As to int'l students, it really depends on the industry you want to pursue. For example, brand management in the CPG industry may be hard to tap into for int'l students, however marketing within the tech industry (such as product management) may be easier.
-IU has a great reputation, and specifically the Kelley brand - we are one of the largest alumni networks.
-As mentioned in my post above, there are numerous activities to participate in outside of the classroom. Great restaurant/bar scene, great musical performances, plays, museums, outdoor opportunities, etc. Bloomington has been an excellent city so far, and I'm glad I made the decision to come to Bloomington!

Hi,

Thanks for taking this initiative.

Following are my questions-

1. I am 31 years old and have 9 years of entrepreneurial experience. Does Kelley generally accepts candidates in this age bracket?
2. How strong is Kelley for the Consulting & Supply Chain? Specially for International students(in terms of job recruitment).
3. Does Kelley provide any STEM designated major for MBA?

Regards
