Review for Square One Prep.

Square One Prep’s team of Kathryn, Mary, Christina, and Horatiu has been extremely helpful in my b-school application journey. I was a re-applicant, and my journey this year was very different from my last attempt. A stellar GMAT score and a strong profile aren't enough to get into a top business school. My first call with Kathryn was enough for me to stop my hunt for consultants, and I decided to work under her guidance.

With the help of Kathryn and Mary, I was able to fine-tune my work and gain admission with a whopping $80K scholarship to one of the top US schools. The team has made a lot of effort to get to know my story and profile. Putting heads together helped craft quality essays. Horatiu helped me structure the career narrative, which further assisted me in facing the interviews with more confidence.

The SOP team has done a fantastic job of streamlining the application and interview process, which makes it easier to stay focused. The whole process is designed to bring the best out of you and make you cognizant of your abilities and incompetence. Mary and Kathryn have played a very important role in keeping me focused, and yes, when necessary, I have received criticism. I am extremely thankful for the guidance I received.

Review for Accepted.

When I started applying for MBA programs as an entrepreneur and someone at the age of 29, I was insecure about my MBA dreams. I researched extensively for the professional admissions consultant, including MCB, MBA and Beyond etc., and I am glad I worked with Karthik from August Academy. He is highly professional and will go the extra mile to help. One thing I realized was that he saw my success as his own and was always there to help me get the best go my profile. With his help and deep understanding of what colleges are looking for in my profile and truly personalizing my story with MBA programs, I was admitted to four of the five colleges I applied to him. I got more than 50% scholarship in the three colleges (SIMON, Gtech, and EMORY) while getting admitted to Cornell. I was waitlisted and rejected from Columbia. I am genuinely grateful to have worked with Karthik and would highly recommend him to anyone in the blink of an eyelid.

Out of the 5 school I worked on with Gavriella, I received interview invites from 4 and will now go and attend HBS!
I got multiple offers and scholarships. (Applied to 6 M7 schools(Worked on 2 schools myself) and LBS)

My guide and mentor- The Guru who made it happen. As traditional Indian saying goes, Guru guides you to your destiny, so bow to the Guru even before you bow before God and she is the mentor who made it happen for me. Unsure of my candidacy, she instilled confidence in me and pushed me to introspect until I found why I believe in certain things or choose to behave a certain way. The MBA journey is far longer than the two-year program and while a good GMAT Score feels like a big milestone, it is just the beginning. Your growth begins with applications- as you introspect and find the underlying why you grow and she ensured I knew each why. She highlighted to me how things that seem monotonous or mundane to me, were actually not that common and how I could convey that effectively to the schools to get the interview invites. She made the journey so smooth and easy-paced that I did not feel the anxiety until the HBS Interview invite came and I processed how real this all was. Preparing for the interview, I appreciated my application and felt this sense of immense gratitude towards Gavi that is hard to put into words. I am so glad I chose MBAMission and that Jessica connected Gavi and I. Besides the 5 schools I chose to work on with Gavi, she helped me put together my application for two more schools, highlighting how the essays could be along the structure of school A or B.

Review for The Red Pen.

Vatsal worked with me using a customized strategy, taking into account my industry and prior experience, which ultimately enabled me to create well rounded essays for my INSEAD application. He has a thorough understanding of the INSEAD application procedure and guided me through several revisions to ensure main points were captured. He connected me with other INSEADers, which greatly aided me in the interview process. I was adequately ready for both my in-person and video interviews. His knowledge in a variety of businesses helped me give my application a mature image. Without a doubt, I would suggest his services to other applicants seeking admission to INSEAD.

Review for MBA and Beyond.

Post my GMAT I was under pressure to start applying for R1 and knew that I needed a consultant to help me out in this journey.
Initially I had a profile evaluation with Paridhi (very friendly) post where I expressed to her that I want to apply in R1. I told her that I am willing to work hard but I want to achieve the deadline. A week later I was working with Dr Vinita Singh. We focused on getting my complete life in one document which made the rest of my admission process easy.
I am so grateful to her for helping me throughout my journey, guiding me at every single point, helping me develop soft skills which are essential in future. She ensures that she empowers you by enhancing your soft skills which are an essential for admission essays/interviews. There were times when we had sessions at morning 6 am or 10 pm. She was flexible in accommodating my schedule.
Dr Vinita is a thorough professional, extremely hardworking , doesn't sugar coat things and makes you achieve your end goals. Working with her made it possible for me to get an admit from Schulich School of Business with a scholarship and as I write this review I have completed my interview in McGill - Desautels faculty of management.
I would definitely recommend MBA and Beyond to people who are looking out for a good consultants

Prepare to be blown away by the exceptional interview preparation services provided by Silpa! With a meticulous approach, Silpa helped me craft customized answers to a plethora of challenging questions and calmed my nerves before the interview. In record time, Silpa provided me with quick and efficient feedback, ensuring that I remained on track and focused on the most important topics. She even went above and beyond to help me craft a stellar thank-you note for my interviewer.

Silpa's guidance throughout the process was truly invaluable, and I am thrilled to report that I was able to secure admission to the top US schools for which I enrolled her services. If you're looking for an effective coaching session that will help you reach your academic goals, Silpa is a clear choice.

Review for Admit Expert.

My journey with Admit Expert started after my GMAT exam. This was second attempt and my score was 710 so I decided to put my best foot forward for IIMA,B, and C. I had some prior experience previous year with other consultants but they were not upto mark. So, this time I decided to go with the best and found Admit Expert. My first discussion with Aseem was quite candid and I was happy that he was more focused on understanding my requirements rather than just bringing me onboard and getting sales. He outlined complete process in detail and answered my every query in calm manner. Also on my personal request, he broke my payment into two instalments. I was quite touched by that gesture.
Further, I was put in touch with Sivaranjani from Admit Expert who was my essay editor and coordinator. She helped me in every step of the way and always replied back to my texts, even late night. I got a great understanding of process and was given choice to choose my lead mentors through telephonic conversations.

I was most impressed by the fact that Admit Expert did not claim to be expert on every school requirements in essays and SOP. It is not possible for any admission consultant out there to cover multiple schools and be an expert on essays and SOP of every school. Admit Expert candidly brought in alums of particular schools who guided me on particular nits and grits of their respective schools. Believe me, these connections go beyond your admission process and it is always beneficial in MBA to have connections with alums of multiple schools.

Sivaranjani and Aseem were always available to help me out. Even when I was frustrated (on no fault of theirs), they calmly understood my requirements and helped me out. Aseem even had a discussion with me late night. Also, Sivaranjani burnt midnight oil for my SOP and essay submissions.

Due to their hardwork and guidance, I got interview call from all 3 colleges – IIM-A, B and C. I got from Admit Expert mock interviews by alums of these schools who helped me a lot to prepare for my interviews. Finally, I got an admit in IIM Calcutta.
I recommend Admit Expert to Anyone who is serious about their admission and want to guide and facilitator who will help you grow during admission process rather than just spoon feed you essays.

Review for MBA and Beyond.

When I started my journey, I knew where I wanted to apply but I had no idea how to go about it. My search for MBA Consultants started at a time when I was still preparing for the GMAT and had my target schools shortlisted.

MBA and Beyond - Key Differentiator

I spoke to many different companies and a lot of them asked me questions that I felt were being plugged into a foolproof equation that was known to provide results. However, I finalized MBA and Beyond because -

- I felt that my personal strengths and motivations were understood by the team and they didn’t boil my experience and personal qualities down to a math

- I didn't feel pressure to score exceptionally well on my GMAT or that the GMAT score was the make or break for my schools - the encouragement and tone through and through was always to give it my best shot
- Their success rate/ track record in helping secure INSEAD admits for applicants with low GMAT scores

The Application Process

a) The Product
The process itself of starting work on my applications was life-changing. Putting down points in the product in the MBA and Beyond framework gives you so much clarity going into this process about who you are as a person. From start to end the product covers content and instruction for each stage of your application process specific to the schools you are applying for. The content-gathering stage is the most pivotal step in this process in my opinion because it pushes you to think hard about your personal qualities. The team, especially Ayushi in my case, supports you through and through, even when you’re stuck and helps you position your content in unique and powerful ways. I think what comes out of this process is a simplified and more focused thought process that prepares you not just for your applications but also for your interviews.

b) Working with your Consultant – Andy my Partner
The relationship working with Andy was like no other. For starters, he actually read all the material I had written with a fine-toothed comb – be it my content frameworks, notes, first drafts and of course my final drafts. He helped come up with my branding – who I was as a person, what were some defining qualities/ motivations in my life that got me to where I am, my professional strengths and my contributions to a diverse classroom. I can’t emphasize how important this was for me because at each step of the way, I felt secure in knowing that Andy understood who I was and exactly that person was being presented in my applications. I was truly myself in the applications and not a summation of different variables in a tried and tested formula. Despite being in completely different timezones, Andy was always approachable, quick to respond and a true partner in this journey.

I would also like to highlight that the applications for both schools I got accepted into – INSEAD and IESE were with submission dates on the same day. This was extremely challenging as the INSEAD application is quite extensive and detailed oriented but with Andy’s help I was able to help systematically work on all aspects well in time.

Amidst this process, I would also like to share, that I took the GMAT twice as I scored poorly the first time and it pushed my plans to apply to INSEAD from R2 to R3. However, not once did Andy make me feel stressed or uneasy about my situation. He was a beacon of hope and positivity and encouraged me to take it again and not worry about the outcome. As I said – Andy just understood me and knew that I had a very very VERY bad day and it wasn’t a reflection of me or who I was. He was confident that I would take it again and “smash it” and even if I didn’t get that 700+ score I would still be just okay and we’d give it our best shot. There was never an expectation from me to score a specific number or be within a certain threshold – I was only and only encouraged to do my best. So I juggled preparing for my second GMAT attempt and working on my applications side by side with Andy’s help.

To sum up, I truly believe I made it here only thanks to Andy’s encouragement and support and I would encourage you all to work with him in applying to your dream schools!

The Interview Process
With Andy’s help, I was able to prepare just the right amount for my interviews and I think a key piece of advice that worked for me was to prepare but not over-prepare. Andy gave me the confidence boost and motivation I needed to just be myself during the interview and we went over certain aspects of my interviews in different calls he had set up.
Finally, Shakshi from MBA and Beyond, made sure to check in with me, every step of the way and ensure I was comfortable and all set at each stage. She was always just a call away and proactively helped me with quick responses for any queries that I had, never needing any follow-ups or reminders. So I can vouch for the fact that it’s not just your Consultant but an entire team that is there to support you through this entire lifecycle and the Teamwork truly makes the Dream work.

Review for GOALisB.

As an international applicant for a US B school, I was thoroughly concerned about my odds since I come from a heavily over represented and highly competitive demographic (read Indian engineering male). I had taken a few attempts at GRE and GMAT and wasn’t able to increase my score beyond a plateau . Most of the consultants I reached out to asked me to aim lower or retake exam which I wasn’t intending to do anymore. However, when I reached out to Shruti from GMATCLUB, she understood my challenges and supported me in my journey. She saw the strengths in my profile and helped me highlight those. What I really liked about their services are :

1. Shruti was just a call away - anytime!
2. She understood my goals and helped me figure best schools aligned with my profile
3. She supported me not just by providing admission counsel but also acted as a mentor whenever I needed one
4. Even after I got into my dream B school, she provided suggestions around what can I do preMBA, what courses I should pick and which additional opportunities I can take to make my preMBA profile all the more alluring

I worked on around 8 schools with them and got into my dream school which is amazing. Plus I was on a budget and Shruti helped me out while working on the same. At the same time, this did not compromise the quality of work and support I received.

All in all, loved my engagement with the team and would recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a good consultant.

Review for myEssayReview.

While researching for consultants in the previous application cycle, I got to know about Poonam, I saw one of her videos with one candidate whom she helped to get into Harvard. I really liked the way she discussed how they went about doing things and Poonam’s process made sense to me.

I got on a call with Poonam pretty early in March. We had a discussion, and she was able to help me with my doubts mainly about my comparatively less work experience. What struck me was that she was more concerned with clearing my doubts and getting to know my profile rather than convincing me to take her up as a consultant.

In our 2.2.5 hour long counseling session, we went in depth about my first drafts, the right stories, and the process of how she works. Poonam helped me make my resume more B-school- appropriate. Also, she gave me pointers about my accomplishments that I shared with her in the questionnaire. A majority of our time went into the initial questionnaire and Poonam made sure that I gave it the importance it needed. Surprisingly, the questionnaire not only focused on my academic/professional achievements but also my personal traits, which proved crucial in the long run as we were able to leverage such traits for a couple of essays.

Out of all the areas, I think organizing my stories in a coherent essay was the area in which poonam helped me the most. With her help, I was able to flesh out proper essays which didn’t seem like a collection of random stories put together. I can’t thank poonam enough for her editing skills. She played a very critical part in helping me meet the word limits of the essays without compromising on the stories I wanted to tell mostly. This gave me the confidence to present my stories knowing that poonam will be able to trim it down to meet the word limits.

Regarding LORs, she helped my recommenders use more concise language and overall structured the points shared by them to be more in line with our stories, highlighting my achievements.

Poonam was always available to answer any questions I had, and she did in fact quickly respond to my queries about the essays, stories and general admission process. She was absolutely fantastic with her response time. Since I started the process a bit late, we only had 1.5 months to cover 5 b-schools. But I was able to complete all of them properly with time to spare. This wouldn’t have been possible without Poonam’s help as she instantly responded to all my drafts and queries well within 24 hours.

One thing which I loved about our time together and one of the main reasons why I wanted to work with Poonam was the genuine attention she gave to my applications. It didn’t feel like I was just another client whose applications she just wanted to get over with. She was always straightforward, and she let me know when my drafts weren’t up to the mark. I have received admission offers from ISB and McDonough. Also, I was interviewed by Tuck and Foster , and waitlisted by Tepper. I will be joining McDonough in Fall. I will definitely recommend her to other applicants.

Review for Stratus Admissions Counseling.

I am very grateful for Donna's support and guidance. I absolutely could not have done this without her assistance. I truly appreciate Stratus' structured approach to writing essays and ensuring that I am appropriately following the timeline to submit my essays in a timely manner.

They made sure that I followed my choice of school's theme so that I had the best shot of getting an admit. And, they helped me save a lot of time when structuring themes to tackle the essay prompts head on!

The editing of my essays was great too! The grammar and spell checking polished my ideas.

I was admitted to an M7 with a healthy merit scholarship!

Review for MBA and Beyond.

The consulting service itself is great. Dr Singh was with me every step of the way and went above and beyond on multiple occasions. She knows how to craft the story, and carry it to the natural conclusion. What impressed me was also a willingness to take mock interviews for schools that I wasn’t applying with MBAB - that clearly left an impact since I made it to UNC KF with a full ride. I also managed to convert at least an interview to almost each school I applied to.

As I mentioned before, MBAB should refine their strategy for Indian males in R2 moving forward.

I am waitlisted at Darden and Tepper, but let’s see where that goes!

Review for Admit Expert.

My experience with Admit Expert for my MBA application was wonderful. From the moment I reached out to them, their team was friendly, thorough and detailed in guiding me through the process. They took the time to understand my background, skills, and goals, and used this information to help me create a compelling application.

One of the things I appreciated most about working with Admit Expert was their willingness to go above and beyond. Once my consultant and I completed the essays and sent to the editing team, instead of just fixing my grammar and spelling errors, they provided valuable final-level feedback on the content of my essays and other application materials, helping me to make sure that everything was focused, persuasive, and well-presented.

Thanks to their expert guidance, I was admitted to two highly competitive MBA programs - Broad and Carey - and am currently on the waitlist for three others. I am thrilled with these results, and I have no doubt that Admit Expert played a major role in my success.

Overall, I would highly recommend Admit Expert to anyone who is considering pursuing an MBA. Their team is friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of the application process. They truly care about their client's success, and they work tirelessly to help them achieve their goals.

Review for Admit Expert.

I had the pleasure of working with Admit Expert for my MBA application process, and I am incredibly grateful for their guidance and support.

From IT to the fashion industry and now MBA, my profile is unique, and I had received skepticism from other consulting companies about my goal of getting into top Indian B-schools. However, from the very first day, my consultant from Admit Expert was clear on how to present my profile's unique strengths, and I knew I had chosen the right service and person. Admit Expert provided immense help in making my MBA dream come true. I received interview calls from all the B-schools I had applied to, and eventually, I was able to convert an offer from IIM L, along with other IIMs.

The mock interviews conducted by Admit Expert were immensely helpful in preparing me for the actual interviews. The detailed feedback and insights helped me improve my interview skills and gave me the confidence to perform my best during the real interviews. Their expertise and guidance were invaluable in shaping my application and acing the interviews.

Admit Expert's confidence in my unique profile and their unwavering encouragement kept me motivated throughout the process. I highly recommend Admit Expert services to anyone seeking MBA consulting and interview prep services.

I purchased an hourly service package to supplement Applicantlab. I was able to secure interviews from 4 schools and received 3 acceptances. I am now matriculating in my top school.

I was looking for someone who could bring my story alive and is an excellent writer. I worked with Gavriella on 6 top 20 B school applications. She made a difference without a doubt. She provided great suggestions that helped me achieve the results I did.

Gavriella is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and supportive. She knows how to present candidates in the best light possible without misrepresenting or embellishing achievements too much. She understands the balance and never shies away from challenging your thought process or providing critical feedback.

I could not have asked for a better consultant. It was worth every penny.

Review for Experts' Global.

As a former applicant to a top-10 MBA program, I had the opportunity to engage with Experts' Global. While the company may be more suitable for Indian-based applicants, I think applicants with a few years of solid work experience in North America might not need this service.

After evaluating 8 different options, I chose Experts' Global because it was one of the most affordable choices (as other services employ consultants who are ex-admin personnel from top MBA schools in the US). The program began with a set of video tutorials covering the whole MBA application process, which initially got me excited about their service. However, I soon realized that these tutorials were one-size-fits-all and covered information that could be found for free online.

The main deliverable I received from Experts' Global was a comprehensive questionnaire with behavioral question prompts and a STAR format to guide my answers. With a three-week deadline, completing the questionnaire was challenging alongside a full-time job, but I managed to complete it diligently. Reflecting on my progression, I found that this was the most valuable part of my engagement with Experts' Global.

Upon submitting the questionnaire, I was provided with a draft essay within a week. However, the essay was not what I had expected at all, as it focused on a weak, unrelated story about my volunteering experience rather than my academic or professional achievements. The essay seemed to be crafted with a one-size-fits-all approach, with no specific considerations tailored to my target program or its very specific essay prompt.

Disappointed and frustrated, I tried to push back but made no headway with my assigned "mentors" at Experts' Global. Eventually, I rewrote my essay entirely and hired a US-based writer to help me edit it. Though expensive, my writer significantly improved the storytelling and articulation of my essay.

Having completed my essay, I was confident about my application and successfully gained admission to my target program. I did not use any of Experts' Global's additional services for interview preparation, resume editing, or recommendation guidance.

In conclusion, if you have limited knowledge of the MBA application process and want to complete it within a short timeframe, Experts' Global could be a useful resource. However, if you are resourceful and diligent in your approach, you may not be satisfied with the value provided by Experts' Global. Overall, I found that the most valuable aspect of their service was the introspective questionnaire, but the rest of their offerings did not live up to my expectations.
