I am an Indian with a GMAT score of 690. I have a decent profile(2 years with Indian Tech giant as a consultant then 1 year at an event management company as an operations consultant. Working there presently). I was hoping to apply to BYU. I don't know if 690 is good enough for a decent scholarship as Indian applicant pool is already really competitive. Can anyone shed some light on how scholarships are provided there?

If you are considering this school i suggest you to start with IERF evaluation as it takes a lot of time.

For IERF we need to send our undergrad mark sheets and degree right? Not our high school one (10th and 12th for Indians)?
And people who are done with interviews kindly post your experiences please.!!

Yep, you need only to submit your papers about your undergrad degree, nothing from high school.

About the interview, it took about 45 minutes and he spoke about half of the time. He made me feel good about taking to him, it was not like he was looking for reasons not to admit me.

I was interviewed 1.5 week ago but have still not received their decision letter yet. Someone told me it may take from 2 to 4 weeks for me to receive it.

I was interviewed this past Monday by Mike Bond. It felt like a discussion and Professor bond was truly interested about me and my post MBA plans. We talked about my work experience, why I wanted to pursue marketing, and why BYU. It lasted 30 minutes.

Does BYU have an age limit? I know their average student´s age, but for someone past 35 y/o, is there a chance?
Thanks!

I don't believe BYU has an age limit. Their average age is 29. I think that if you have a strong GMAT and a good essay explaining why the MBA makes sense for you right now , you should have a fair shot. There is also the EMBA, the average age for which is 35.

I would call the admissions office, explain to them your situation and your goals and ask their advice for which to apply for.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the quick reply. Im not from the US, so the EMBA wouldn’t be an optikn for me. Explaining my situation in the essay looks like the best option.
Thanks again.

Yes, I agree with Savage91's answer. I would also add that I know a guy who was accepted in his early 40's and it wasn't a problem for him. He used to own his own business before his MBA and now he works as the Commercial Director for a multi-national company.

Awesome, I want to go the other way, move from the corporate world to entrepreneurship. I’ve heard BYU’s entrepreneurship track is a very good one.
Thanks!

Congrats!! What are your gmat scores if you dont mind sharing? I have 650 (Q49 V30), and I dont know if that will be good enough. I honestly don't think that I will do any better if I take the test again.
