I received a mail asking to join a Zoom call at 9:10 EST today.
Are all calls acceptances or do they call and tell you you're rejected or waitlisted? Not exactly sure of the process here 😅

That would be one miserable job to call people and tell them that they have been denied. Can you imagine the awkwardness and the cringe? This would be a good TV show 😂😂😂

I submitted the application on the final day, does it have any impact on this calling/zoom invitation policy? Are they kinda following FIFO method?

Most schools do not follow the chronological approach. I think one of the outcome people in the in the spotlight fair actually mentioned that there’s no use in submitting your application early unless the program is a rolling admissions program like Columbia, for example. Unless Darden does a rolling at some point, it’s not chronological, however, there is some method to the madness … someone is first in someone’s last and sometimes it’s just random 🤷‍♂️

Some folks may require more reviews and more debate. I’m sure the admissions have three buckets. One is a yes, and the other one is a no and then a maybe. So likely, the yes, candidates were put into the system first, and then the maybe candidates got filtered in overtime. This is just a guess. 😇

If you look at Live Wire most of the US residents got called yesterday- I believe Indian and other international residents are getting calls later
Also I think many people here mentioned that you don't necessarily need a call - they may just update your application portal with the acceptance

how many acceptances usually go out? Darden class size is 348 /4 rounds = ~90 in EA?
