Yup prep is settling in slowly :D
I got booked for the 15th. I'm trying to get it moved because it's a workday and I won't be able to get out. They are yet to confirm. What about you? Heard back on a date yet?

Yep. How is your prep? Fixed a date for your in-person?

Yeah man getting a weekend slot is a tough task. I also got it for the 14th.
Trying to buck up. With other apps and the boss giving you work on weekends, its one uphill battle !!! Hope you are excited for 15th!

Hello!
Does Fuqua give additional time after the deadline to the recommenders for submission of recos? R1 deadline is Monday and I'm not sure if one of the recommenders will be a able to submit by then.
I've heard some schools like Booth give an additional week to recommenders. Does anyone know if that's also the case with Fuqua?

Yes, they do in fact. I met an AdCom member recently and asked about this since I'm facing a similar situation. She said there is a grace period (didn't specify exactly how many days) and that they would come back and ask you for any such missing information instead of simply rejecting your file. You could contact the admissions office directly to understand the exact duration, I'm guessing it will essentially be the time between submitting the app and when they open it for review (since the AdCom usually dosn't like to go back and re-read the file because of one missing piece).

Hi I emailed fuqua for the same query. Please see their response as below. ******* Thank you for contacting us. You should go ahead and submit your application on time. Although your application will be marked as incomplete if you do not have all materials (transcripts, recommendations, etc) submitted, candidates will have about a week after the deadline during which they (or recommenders) can send in all missing items. However, we strongly suggest that you encourage your recommenders to submit as soon as possible. You may also want to warn them that the process is more complicated than merely sending a letter. ******

Hi, just for information. English language scores aren’t mandatory at Fuqua.
You can even send them the screenshots or even the soft copy that you have and they will still appreciate it. In case you haven’t spent money on English Tests, please check the schools’ requirements. Maybe you don’t need a test as well. For Fuqua, you are set.
Hope this help.

Do we have to send IELTS scores to the adcom through mail while applying or the copies can be sent at a later stage ?

It is appreciated if that is within the deadline. But they do give you a grace period of like a week (as per conversation with one of the adcom) but till then your file is ‘incomplete’ and incomplete files won’t be read. Try to do it asap.

I'm curious about your experience. HBS actually has very strict time limits for interviews. How do you mean it felt like a Harvard interview? Like too formal or something?

Man, almost the same case with me. Just that it was a SHE not a HE. Felt like a harvard interview. What is Up? This isn’t Fuqua way of things man.
