Hello all, I want to apply to Emory in the round 3. Please let me know what you think about my chances:

1) GMAT - 650
2) 32 year old Female from india
3) 8 years of work experience.
4) Bcom, MBA in 2008 from India
5) This where the weight lies in my application - Worked for 2 years in Investment banking, Run a Casino Gaming startup for 5 years, Current role - Project manager for the largest game art development company in India
6) Career goals - Corporate finance

I wouldn't consider it game over at all! For whatever reason, the turnaround time for me was insanely fast (submitted on Friday, got the invite on Monday). Not sure what determines the order in which they review applications, but I'd say that it's still fairly early. Interview slots were available through January, so I imagine they'll be sending out invites for some time. Good luck!

My interviewer was a member of the adcom and didn't even have my resume on hand when I went to interview, I had to provide it to her. I think it varies, but I would assume it's a blind interview.

Emory Adcoms interviews are 'Blind' interviews and the interviewer has nothing but your essay for reference. So, you can expect behavioral questions related to your work-ex and should be thorough with each bullet on your resume. :-)

That said, the interviewer usually briefs you about the interview before the interview starts. Probably she/he will tell you if she/he has gone through your application or just the resume.
