SageJiraiya I am a round 2 applicant. I got waitlisted today without an interview, I would love to get some advice on the actions you took to get off the waitlist. Let me know if you are open to connect.

btw Congrats on your admission!!! Must be a huge relief.

Hey mekagautam
I have been in your shoes mate and believe me when I say this, WL is a positive thing!
It means that they are definitely interested in you.

I would love to connect! Shoot me a PM anytime and we can set something up.

I will mention the steps I took with hopes that my experience might be of help to other applicants.
1. The first thing I did was to sign up for and attend the waitlist webinars. I also attended all their other webinars which were of interest to me.

2. Since I couldn't connect to any student ambassador while crafting my application, I tried to network really hard after my waitlist decision. I was finally able to get in touch with 2 students. I seriously believe the conversations I had with these students were the key to getting admitted for me!

3. Sent a waitlist update letter that had excerpts from my conversations with the student ambassadors and some recent developments of mine. I guess I was a little late with this letter (sent it 4 days before the interview invites were supposed to go out. They asked us to send the updates atleast a week before. I couldn't get in touch with the student ambassadors earlier) because I didn't receive an interview invite along with r2 candidates.

I later received an e-mail from the ad-com, asking me to submit updates if I had any. Since I didn't had any updates then other than the ones I already shared in my previous letter, I wrote a letter of continued interest.

4. Letter of continued interest - explained that Fuqua was my top choice and touched upon the things that I love about Fuqua.

After sending this letter, I was invited to an interview.
Since alums weren't available, Morgan interviewed me and it went really well!

I hope this helps!
Feel free to reply to this or send me a PM.
Like I said, I'd be happy to connect!
I wasn't able to maintain a positive mindset after the WL decision, but believe me mate, WL is a positive thing.
Don't be like me mate. Cheer up! You just need to fight a bit more for your seat!
Good luck!
I hope to see you in Durham this year!
