Technically, it's an interview waitlist (or a rejection, depending on your optimism levels) which is different from the standard post-interview waitlist. Don't think any rejection mails were sent out, but the language of the 'not invited' email seemed to be more of a kind way of telling the applicant to focus on other applications.

Hope this clarifies!

Wrenw
Soo if we did not receive an interview invite, is that considered a waitlist? Were there any rejections sent out yesterday?

Did anyone else get waitlisted without an interview even? R1 applicants. Wondering if it's worth the wait till the R2 decision date *rolls eyes*

I did.
I honestly don’t think there are a lot of chances for those waitlisted without interviews.
But hey expect the worst, hope for the best!

Yeah same. Just wondering they'd even bother at all, considering I'm sure there are people who've been waitlisted after the interview.

Hi,

I was waitlisted this week for the two year program at Fuqua and would appreciate any tips on how I can improve my chances of receiving an acceptance.

Thank you!

Hi people,

Have any EA waitlisted people spoken to admission counsellors. If so, what have you people asked. Is it OK to ask "Why was I waitlisted"..?

Thanks for the help..

I was waitlisted after my interview as R1 candidate. Probably assume it was my low GRE score which was 321 (155V and 166Q). Retook in late December and scored a 327 (162V and 165Q). Also sent the committee a letter expressing my fit and interest for the program.

Did anyone attend the waitlist webinar last week and hear Lauren say that they could accept the Executive Assessment on a case by case basis? Was she talking about daytime or just for EMBA waitlisted applicants?

snickers24 I think in your case a WL result is probably a hint to retake the GMAT. You might also look into the GRE, take a mock exam see how it comes out.

redskull1 Some programs offer feedback, but most don't. I would recommend having an admissions consultant review your application. Every single time someone has had me review their dinged or WL application, I can easily work out the problems.

Hello! I got waitlisted in R1 WITHOUT an interview. Kinda hitting a wall here tbh - I really don't have the time to retake the GMAT, and I don't have any significant updates professionally. Not sure whether it's worth waiting to hear back in March, though I really really want Fuqua.

I'd love some advice!

Any other West Coast applicants frustrated by the lack of rolling interviews?

I don't see a reason as to why you guys can't write a mail to fuqua asking them if there is an ambiguity in your application that you can address so as to get into a college you find your fit into?
As you would get rejected anyways if you do nothing, don't you think that asking them is worth a shot.

BE FEARLESS!!!

I have. "We unfortunately are not able to give specific feedback on applications. We do strongly encourage to look back at your application and consider updates or additional things you can provide to your application. As mentioned in the webinar there are lots of things you can do while on the waitlist."

They gave you one clue in the sentence
