Submitted. Almost thought I might have to wait til R2 but it worked out.

Same here, internet crashed at the last minutes and almost had a heart attack. I submitted 5 minutes late, but got confirmation for round 1 anyway.

Good luck!

Always PDF everything when given that option. (And then make sure you actually look at the PDF to ensure it's OK before submitting.)

Quick question,
For the essay should you upload word or pdf?

Sent from my SM-G928T using GMAT Club Forum mobile app

I submitted as word. The site automativally converts the essay submission file to PDF and was told it didnt make a difference.

Submitted today before the deadline as well. Good luck everyone!

Quick question, did anyone else encounter that they had sent their GMAT score several months ago to HBS, but the score didn't automatically populate as "verified" in the application?

I took the GMAT twice once back in 2013 with a lower score. That score showed up in my application as "verified". However, the test I took in May 2016 didn't show up as verified. I'm not too concerned, but wondering if it is worthwhile to contact admissions to see if the received my new GMAT score.

Best of luck everyone!

Submitted for R1.

Worrying that my GMAT is just 700 with verbal 38 = 85%. Do you know if it could be issue with HBS or it is high enough?

I think you should not worry about it as it is over 80%. Look at other parts of your application and the quant score, which because of the 700 on GMAT I assume is below the 80% mark.

FROM HBS Admissions Blog: Two Updates
Two updates for you today:

First: The HBS MBA Class of 2018 has officially started classes! It's an outstanding group, and as promised here is their final Class of 2018 profile.

Second: For the many of you who submitted your application yesterday for R1 - thank you. We received your applications and have been reading all morning. I just took a break for lunch and sat back for a few minutes to reflect on the amazing people I feel I've already met in the prospective Class of 2019. Wow. You inspire in ways big and small, and we are grateful for your interest in HBS.

Don't worry about interview invitations just yet; I will provide more details on that later. In the meantime, relish in the knowledge that your hard work is over (for now) and ours has begun. Now back to reading...

Is there some way to check that they received the official GMAT score report? Mine still says "self reported" on the application proof. Also they really only have your name and school to match the score to the app by, correct? Don't recall them asking for SSN or anything else

They asked for SSN# on one of the beginning pages of the app - I wouldn't sweat it...

Thanks CJH2015

Just wondering: does yours say "Self-reported" or something else?

Self-reported - I only asked GMAC to send scores a week before though. I think once the proof is finalized, it doesn't update. The GMAT score is something that's confirmatory in nature - if they don't get it and need it, I'm sure HBS will reach out.

It says self-reported on mine as well, and I completed it 7 weeks before finalizing my application. Think this is reason to send them a note?

Thanks,

D

No, don't reach out. They're swamped and as long as you got the confirmation email saying that you are part of Round 1, you're good. If they need the score, they'll reach out. It takes GMAC longer than a week to send them.
