Correct, it will say "submitted on X date" once it's done. You will also receive a confirmation email.

Just to be safe, the deadline is tomorrow noon Boston time, right? Which is 23 hours away?

Yep. BUT if your materials are ready, you should upload them and submit them NOW.

The system has been known to crash or experience issues that you might need to call the adcom about (this happens across all programs as the deadline nears).

DO NOT WAIT until the last minute, trust me. It would be a shame to have to be rolled into Round 2.

Good luck!

Just submitted my R1 app!

A huge victory for me, because I was so nervous until I submitted. I kept re-reading my essay and resume -- adding a comma here, removing a comma there, and making various other micro-changes. Hope I can get over my nervousness for the rest of the R1 apps.

It's just the fact that I've invested so much time and energy into the various components of the application, and I want everything to be as good as possible.

Anyway, good luck to everyone else who submitted! Time to start reading horror stories about HBS interviews, starting here: http://poetsandquants.com/2015/10/07/ho ... terview-3/

Also just submitted. Wanted to make so many last minute changes. If it was paper instead of electronic I'm sure I would have torn something. Luckily I avoided all those changes and just hit the submit button instead. *here goes nothing*

Quick question,
For the essay should you upload word or pdf?

I always use pdf for everything - that way you can be sure the formatting won't change.

Always PDF everything when given that option. (And then make sure you actually look at the PDF to ensure it's OK before submitting.)

I keep looking back over the submitted app...but I guess that's of no use now! Only wish it wasn't my very first deadline...

Same here, internet crashed at the last minutes and almost had a heart attack. I submitted 5 minutes late, but got confirmation for round 1 anyway.

Good luck!
