This seems like such a silly system. All schools should have a SINGLE date on which they send out interview notifications to ALL applicants letting them know whether or not they're invited for the interview. I have no idea why this is so hard to accomplish.

Guys, are invites always distributed around noon? The time wasn't specified in the post.

That's how it worked last year at least... Most invites came between 12:05-12:18pm or so. Oddly specific but I remember sitting in front of my computer going all crazy.

Question for those who submitted a Round 1 app

Does the GMAT score under the "Test Scores" section in your application proof still say "Self-Reported Score"?

Other schools that I sent the score to at the same time as HBS have successfully verified the score. Do they only verify post-acceptance, and/or only for those invited to interview? Or should I be following up with GMAC? Just trying to understand how much I need to worry :)

To your question above - yes.

I sent my score to Harvard on the day of the GMAT but it says self reported. I sent mine to Columbia too and it's verified already even though I haven't submitted the app. I'm sure it's just HBS's system. If you've sent it, you've sent it.

No regrets! So many admissions people say that the biggest reason why people don't get in is because they self-select themselves out and don't apply in the first place.

Absolutely! Applying is the first step, do not regret it. It is obviously hard to put your 'real self' out there and the excruciating wait to be judged and we all have concerns at this point. But as one of the HBS Class speakers said once 'you miss 100% of the shots you don't take'. I say well done you for putting yourself out there! That in itself takes courage.

All the best guys.

I believe there was a discussion about this earlier on this same thread (but it might have been for a different school...) - but in short, no, don't worry. And yes, they only verify post-acceptance anyway. Good luck!

Anyone have any sense if the email strategy is same as last year's? (i.e., release at 12PM EST?). Last year they said about 60% - 65% of the invites were released on the first day, with the remainder spread out over the next two dates.

Good question, I think it will be, since the set-up is so similar to last year! I, for one, will be glued to my computer at noon!

Good luck all!

At least people based in the US only have to wait until noon - being based in Asia means I have to suffer through the waiting all day long. This is not going to be a productive work day... :-D

Judgement day!
Guys, please help to also post the date of application submission if you receive interview invite today.

Want to see whether the day we receive the invites has anything to do with the date of submission :)

Cheers and good luck all!
