Maybe I should have used your services, NatefromHBS!

I was hoping I could break the mold as a Marine officer with a 760 GMAT but not even getting an interview for the second straight time hurts.

While only knowing a sliver about you, I thought you would have been a shoe in on paper. Hold your head high, you'll get in somewhere deserved.

Can someone who has got an interview invite post a screenshot of the invite? Even though I'm not fortune enough to see it, I would at least like to get a glance of it.

You will do awesomely well buddy. Your profile sounds good and your GMAT score is superb- I am sure you should get into a really good school this season. One without the word 'Harvard' in its name, but a good school nonetheless.

Not a single candidate from India? Either we don't have a whole of Indians in this forum, or they have had enough of us Indians. Anyway, I am happy that I gave it my best. Can't do much else outside of changing my background :D

All these returns really go to show just how important essays and letters of rec are

Letters of recos - yes; Essays- I am seriously starting to doubt this. I mean- maybe if you are good, your essays will ooze with awesomeness. But I have a feeling if you have solid achievements in your past, it will reflect in all parts of your application and an average essay might pass through. Especially with the admission consultant industry thriving so much- I am suspecting the weight of the essay will get lower and maybe something like a resume might carry more weight.

I second this with full conviction. I think your profile is more prioritised than anything else.
