Did the emails all come out at 12 or is it rolling?

From what I got from the chat, it was one butch, so not rolling. Next one though on March 30!

anyone else a bit confused by the lack of US-based invites posted here and to livewire? is there some sort of geographic clustering?

further i would expect more than 5-10 posts if 2/3 of invites went out.....anyone else agree?

Perhaps fewer folks are posting their success. Last year the acceptance rate seemed close to 20%. Of those 20 people 5-7 have already published, so maybe there will be more who post their success.

The sample size on here and clearadmit are clearly not representative of the total population of invitees.

I'd trust the official posts from the Admissions director over speculation from an anonymous forum. More people will post their status over the evening and tomorrow. Most are probably too busy celebrating or getting back to work to post on here.

I don't think there's any way to tell how they sort the waves out. Doesn't seem geographically based. Doesn't really seem industry based. Most likely it's a random assortment. At any rate it doesn't seem like there's any way for us to tell how they are dividing up the waves. It's all a closely held secret at HBS admissions.

I agree that the geographic split looks strange. I would assume the 2/3 1/3 overall split given by the blog is accurate. In R1, some people didn’t receive emails until an hour or two after the stated deadline, so maybe there are still more on the way?

So with 30% of the interview invites still to come out on the 30th, I think there's still a slim chance for those who haven't received one yesterday!

Hard to say without knowing more about your profile. I spoke about this with my consultant and he told me that they reserve some slots in R3, but it's usually for candidates from unique backgrounds that normally wouldn't apply to B school or superstars that couldn't apply earlier.

Your GMAT is great, GPA is ok, not great, and you're a consultant. I'd imagine they've already culled through hundreds of consultants apps and hired the top 10% or so across the world and they probably don't have too many more slots for those types unless you're an absolute superstar.

Apply if you want but your chances are very low, as are most anyone who applies r3. I'd wait for next year.

If I were you I would apply September (Class of 2021, Round 1). It will give you enough time to prepare a great essay, take on interesting extracurricular activities, and prepare your recommenders.
