Also, I had started filling in the application in R1, but it has completely changed for R2 it seems. UI and inputs asked have been modified. I hope they don't change essay topics too for the R2 shortlists. Or do they? It would be great if someone can share info here...whether they change essay topics for R2 or not. Guys Im planning to apply for R2 . Can any of you let me know if anyone with under 5 years experience has been shortlisted for the interview ? I guess this is the first time where PGPX has lowered the cut off to 4 years work exp. so I was just wondering if persons like me ( 4 years 9 months by the time course starts) really stand a chance.

Yes, quite a few have been short-listed. I know around 12, out of whom 8 have between 5 to 6 years experience and 4 between 4 to 5 years experience. However, the avg GMAT of the above group is also 720+. For a male candidate, it is little more challenging. Among 12 short-listed, 5 are male and 7 female. Among the 5 males, 3 have mostly international experience and located internationally (gmat 710+), 1 is from the Power sector(Gmat 720), and 1 is from IT (Gmat 760). A lot of these(12 shortlisted) are Masters graduates. Some has MS from US, few did M.Tech from IIT’s. Hope this helps you decide.

Hi Thanks for the response. Relieved to know that . I have a GMAT of 710 with 4.6 years experience in construction project management, 3 in India and 1.6 years international . Also , I have a PG diploma in Advanced construction management . DO you think I have a chance atleast for the interview ?

Yes, even if there is 20% chance of getting a call it is worth the efforts. I am wondering you will or have applied to ISB as well. I recommend you should. Both are good schools with plenty to offer. What is your post mba goal( companies, role etc)? Sent from my iPhone using GMAT Club Forum
