I never got a communication but I had the interview option when I checked my portal. Have you checked?

I didn’t receive an interview invite, either though mail or through the portal. This morning the portal status changed to "All interviews are currently virtual. You will receive an email regarding the status of your interview within six weeks of the application deadline." which earlier stated that we’re looking for you to match with an interviewer. Can anyone please explain the implications of these changes?

While Kellogg does mention that it might not interview every candidate, what implications does not having the interview has on one’s chances to get an admit? Can anyone in this group share something from his o her experience?

I talked to my friend at Kellogg. Although they stated that they want to interview everyone, in reality, they do not interview everyone. They still look at things like GPA, test score, work history, etc. So 50-60% get interview.

Also, they matched your interview based on similarity. I have consulting background, and got matched with 1st year student with consulting background pre-Kellogg. My friend got matched with Kellogg alumni from same country.

Is it true that they only interview 50-60% applicants? This makes me feel a bit better because I got an invite and only Kellogg so far invited me for interview

Hm… I think the 50 to 60% is highly unreliable and highly speculative. It would be really hard to know besides coming up with some anecdotal feedback and decision tracker…. It will be easy to skew the results if someone forgets to update their interview status so I’m not sure that number is that low.

I heard 98%

I'm sorry but this is a number that you've pulled seemingly out of thin air. Any source? :facepalm_man:

They say own their own website that they try to interview everyone - throwing around random numbers just isn't that helpful.

Glad I made this forum more active! lol

We can cut the number out, but for sure from what I talked to the current student, they won't interview everyone.

My Kellogg interview was taken by an Alumn who is in consulting and he was asking his consulting behavioral questions, I had less idea about those. I felt it could have been more towards my experience and learnings. How would i know about consulting when I am from different industry.

Hi anyone still waiting for an interview invite. Haven’t received any email and my portal status still says that you will hear about your interview invite within 6 weeks of application. Do you think I should email the adcom and check on my application?

I don’t think 6 weeks have passed since the application deadline right? but I guess you can still drop them an email and check with them :)
