Had my interview via Skype. Atmosphere was nice and comfortable. All questions are from the lists publshed earlier:
Resume walkthrough? Why MBA? Why KF? Leadership and teamwork Exp.? Your strengths and weaknesses?

PaulArcher Was your interview conducted by an adcom member or a second year student?

By adcom member.

alwayswaiting Thanks a lot for taking out time and helping out the hopeful candidates on GC. Really appreciate! :)

I had a query. Are the interviews conducted by only adcom members or are some of the interviews done by second year students as well?

Thanks,
Sourabh

As far as I know, no interviews here are done by second year students

Had my interview on the 6th with Sherry. It lasted for 30 minutes.
I am a re-applicant and was wait-listed twice last year before finally released.

Here are the questions:

1. Why MBA, Why now?
2. When did you get inclined towards your goals?
3. About my startup and what do I need from an MBA?
4. Questions about what do you think should be the criteria of selection for the MBA class?
5. Expectations from the Indian students?
6. Have you interacted with students/attended fairs?
7. Is GMATClub helpful?
8. How would I introduce you to your classmates?
9. What would you bring to UNC?
10. Why UNC
11. What if you do not get through?
12. What happened last time, why did you not join else where?
13. Do you think MBA is a good investment of time and money?
14. What has changed from the last year?
15. Would you like to change anything at UNC?
16. Any questions for us?

It looks like I was asked a lot many questions :)
But the interview was a chilled out conversation with lots of laughs rather than interrogation.

Verdict: Admitted with full scholarship! :D

Thanks a lot Ankur for sharing your interview experience. The questions asked to you are little different from what others have reported here. I guess they are very much interested in taking you this time. All the best for the results! :)

Hi Guys,

I have a query. Tonight I have my Skype interview and was wondering what the right attire would be.
Would wearing a suit be an overkill?

Thanks

You should wear a suit. Or at least a jacket/dress shirt/tie, and make sure they never know that you aren't wearing a full suit.

That is correct. Infact a full formal attire would help you feel more like a pro.
:)
Good luck!

Had my skype interview yesterday with Donna Bauman. Questions were as follows-

1. What you do in your Company?
2. What are your goals and why do you need an MBA?
3. Rationale behind taking CFA and FRM certifications.
4. How did you make an impact on your organization.
5. How an MBA from Kenan Flagler will help you in achieving your goals?
6. How will you contribute to the Kenan Flagler community?
7. What do you do outside of your work?
8. Anything else you would like to tell me which you haven't mentioned anywhere.
9. Any questions from me?

Overall interview experience was very chilled out and very conversational. The interview ended in about half an hour , in which I spoke for 15 minutes and she spoke for next 15 mins. I hope this helps. All the best to everyone! :)

I just had my Skype interview (it was blind with an adcom member). It lasted for 37 mins (these interviews are intended to last around 30 mins, so I must have really talked for too long or gotten into too much detail. I had about 5 mins to ask questions).

Questions were similar to the ones posted above. The only thing is that I didnt walk her through my resume, she guided me towards the areas/bullet points where she wanted to have a clarification or a more thorough answer.

My overall impression was neutral. They want to know the applicant personally and make sure that s/he would be a fit, but I don't think there was a specially strong connection between my interviewer and me. Anyways, I think the interview went well, although I might have extended too much on certain answers and there were a couple of short communication glitches (another reason why it lasted longer than usual).

BTW, as many people mentioned last year, they did explain the admissions process (there is 1 adcom member that reviews the online application, your interviewer assesses the interview and then a third adcom member reviews the whole application -online+interview-).

Best of luck to the rest of you with your applications/interviews!

You sure can, many people get through in the Round 2.
I have seen many people last year who got through in R2
