Its a bit unfair to be honest for wave two people since they state that the wave you were bulked in has no bearing on the competitiveness of your application. Since they wont alert wave two till probably Jan 31st now, that leaves only two of their three possible weekends to come to campus to interview. They also state that "on-campus availability is limited and fills up quickly". On top of that, for those coming from far out of state, a flight get crazy expensive booking only a week or two max from departure. Nothing we can do of course, but a bit frustrating.
You spoke my mind! I was just thinking on the same lines! But I guess we can just hope for invites now, irrespective of how close it is to the interview dates. I just wish they send it out early in the week and not wait for Wednesday or end of the week.
Yes the sooner the better! I could see if wave one was their top people and wave two was spots left over, then you would just be elated to have squeezed in. But since the waves are equal and randomly divided seems like a disadvantage.
Obviously I’m going to be excited if I get an invite period, but I can assure you that had I been able to book a flight after wave one it would probably cost half what it’s going to, and coming from the southwest, no matter the airline it’s going to be really pricey booking only a week or so out, (if there are even in campus spots still available by then). But I want to come to campus since I wasn’t able to come for a campus visit.
Oh well. Gotta control what you can. Fingers crossed for us all to have good news Monday!
