Did anyone who was waitlisted in R1 without interview, receive an interview invite in R2?

I did not. I wonder if waitlisted applicants will also be dinged with the Feb. 9th group. Not much communication from them and they seem to not want updates on anything except GMAT. Hopefully we get an opportunity to interview in April.

Yay interview invite! But now I'm wondering if I can afford to attend the interview on campus. The plane tickets are $700 CAD...

Negligible in comparison to two year's tuition and foregone salary. Is driving an option?

Thanks for putting my head back in the game. I've booked a $800 ticket (taking a trip to Chicago after the interview). Fingers crossed!

Now that is the kind of commitment they are looking for from applicants. Great decision.

All the best for the R2 interviews everyone. I am all set for Ross, and excited to see future classmates. I had posted my Ross interview experience before in this thread, so feel free to check that out. TL;DR - my interview with alum was very conversational. He made it very clear that he wanted it to be a conversation and was an all-out nice guy.

Happy to help anybody for interview prep :)

So if I haven't received an invite until now, I should be expecting a reject?

Interview this past weekend with a second year student. Extremely conversational as expected. Beautiful building, student panel and faculty lecturer. Team exercise was pleasant as well. Ann Arbor was beyond impressive.

Now begins the wait...

thanks for feedback! any unexpected or oddball questions? after looking at multiple interview reports and feedbacks from R1 people i get the impression that there is no standardized agenda / question set for the interview..all reports are so different, even amount of questions varies from like 3 to over 10  having already interviewed with 4 other schools i can say that all interviews were very standardized and 90% of questions totally matched reports of other people...just an observation.

I conducted an off-campus alumni interview in NYC and had a great experience. The interview was very conversational in nature and more so just going through your resume, why Ross, why MBA, a behavioral question on how I work in teams etc. (no surprises, he actually went through what we were going to be talking about and how he was going to evaluate me before the interview even began). After the usual questions , he maybe spent half the interview selling me on why Ross is a great program and the culture of Michigan. Overall, he definitely succeeded in selling me on Ross (a tough pill for me to swallow as I went to a rival Big 10 school undergrad).

I'm not going into detailed specifics because that's not the point of the interview. The interview isn't meant to "be beat" not that I think you're insinuating that. Nothing out of the ordinary from a question perspective, and I feel the interviewer has some discretion regarding questions asked. Truly felt fit. You will be more than fine in any interview setting if you are candid, genuine and know your story.
