It’s been quite a while since anybody has been offered an admit(at least on the forum). I’ve interviewed more than 2 weeks back. Should I assume that I have been rejected? Because most of the candidates who’ve been offered admission have heard back from the adcom in less than 10 days. Is anybody else in a similar situation?

Thanks for your help! I just went through the entire thread! Congratulations to everyone who’s got in!

Is there anyone else like me out there who applied in round 1 but haven’t even received an interview call as of now?

If at all a candidate is rejected , do they send a rejection mail on the deadline date or before that?

I'm in the same boat mate! I applied in R1 and got no reply yet (kinda surprised actually). If you have been rejected, they should have sent some communication. Or you can call up the school and ask, upto you.

I've been told repeatedly by many not to assume anything unless we get a communication. So, I'd say you still have a chance. In case you are applying to more schools, I'd suggest you focus on them for now. I've found that keeping myself distracted works!

GMAT 640 (my weakest point)
Undergraduate Industrial Engineering GPA 3.4/4 from Beijing, China
Graduate Quality Systems Engineering GPA 4/4.3, Montreal
Work experience 5.5 years in China, South Korea and Canada
Mostly in project management section, now as R&D Project Manager
PMP Holder
Some political volunteer work, school volunteer work in Montreal

Applied to U of T, Mcgill
Was thinking of US and Europe before, but thinking of immigration and work permit issues in both countries, think Canada still better
Applied all on Nov 1st, got invite for interview for Mcgill 3rd week of Nov, but I traveled outside of Canada for work for three weeks, so I only got my interview done on Dec 17th
Got invite from U of T 2nd week of Dec, then had skype interview on the same date Dec 17th

Got offer from U of T Dec 19th, only two days after interview, got offer from McGill on Dec 21st
Decisions are all both pretty fast, I think they are all approaching end of year, so both schools want to close the deal before
So GMAT can be definitely complimented by your work experience, your international background or so.

Hello everyone !

I am having second thoughts about 'Major of Interest' field under Academic Plans section of the application. At this moment I am unable to decide whether I want to focus on 'Financial reporting and Analysis' or 'Sustainability' as my major. Either of these choices will subsequently change the 'Post-MBA function' and 'Industry of interest' as well.
I am aware that I can choose my major later during the course i.e. after completion of first year. However, I am worried how much weight this choice of major will have on selection process at Rotman.
Kindly advise if anycan help and guide in my matter.
