Hi,

Need help in understanding how to utilize the optional essay space. What information can I incorporate in the same. How much does it count in the application if optional essay is provided?

Use the optional essay to highlight any weakness in your profile before the admissions committee identifies it. You can explain about the actions you plan to take to overcome your weakness. Or if you are already taking an action, what results you have seen. But please ensure that these are genuine issues which will highlight some aspect of your personality. Your weakness may be a low GMAT, low GPA, a gap in your work, or any thing which you feel should be elaborated.

You can also use the optional essay to highlight some extra ordinary achievement, which is not elaborated in your resume. Your personality should shine through the optional essay. If you don't have anything so significant, it is advisable that you don't write this optional essay. The assume that the admissions committee would appreciate this gesture.

You can also connect with the admissions committee for more information. Let me know if they have a very opposite view from what I have mentioned.

Hi All.
Seen people mention the name of Campus they got selected for. My Decision page in application says - congrats you are selected etc. with an 'Accept' tab..but doesn't mention a specific campus.
Where did you find yours mentioned ?

Hi All.

No, scholarship info. Please let me know if you guys have some info how to apply for scholarship.

I didn't hear back from them after submitting.

All I need is 650. Test on 25th Jan. Help

I am going to give Gmat a 2nd time
First time I got 550 Q43 and V23

I studied english and gave mock today, scored V29

Q45 and V34 is what i need. What should i do in last three days to get that? Any tips any one?

I am going to give Gmat a 2nd time

Since you are giving your exam second time you would be under more pressure toscore higher. I will simply share my exam day experience which might come in handy.
Also, I guess its too late to give study tips, but I will just say keep calm during your exam. Even if you get nervous and nothing strikes. Just put pen paper everything down, yes put those down, deep breaths, guess that answer, move on and start fresh. its better to waste one question and 30-40 seconds then to spoil next 5-10 questions in nervousness.

This thing happened with me in exam, I did same and I think it worked pretty fine for me.

Application submitted - Jan 6th
Invitation to interview - Jan 10th
Interview date - Jan 19th
Admit offer - Jan 23rd

My profile briefly - Bachelors in civil Engg. from a premier institute, 4.5 yrs of work ex in L&T and a couple of extra-curriculars.
