On livewire R1 of 2016, people reported invites as late as December. I doubt it's much different now but even if it is, 2 more weeks is a very reasonable given the late application submit deadline.

Those were consortium applicants. If we go by livewire, last invite was on 2nd November.

You guys need to STOP speculating. It’s not even been a month since the deadline. Even if it has it doesn’t make sense to go on about what could happen and what couldn’t.
I understand if it was like Booth or HBS which sends invites in one day or three predetermined waves, but UCLA and UCB have VERY different methodologies for invites.
To put things into perspectives I was invited to interview at Haas last year 6 days before the deadline.

And no, I didn’t update livewire.

True to every word! Even the adcom says the same. Also the alums and the current students. You can get an invite anytime before the deadline. The only thing we need to do right now is wait for this while looking out for other choices.!
Congratulations anyway I was wondering..In case someone's application is rejected without interview..Do the schools atleast notify this by email?Anyone has any idea?

Just had my interview. The process was smooth. The interviewer was very friendly. I was asked the basic questions: -Tell me a little about yourself -Why MBA? -Short-term and long-term goal -Plan B if short-term doesn't work out -My best quality and something that I lack -Clubs that I would like to join -and some behavorial questions!
Apparently it looks like the invites are either over or have went even slower than in the first 3 weeks. I really wonder how comes the invites reported in here are so little compared to last year.

There are some movements in the decision tracker. I think something is coming up. Lets hope to hear back from UCLA!
I am hoping your words come true. I submitted my app is late July and have not heard back yet

I am still keeping my hope alive for UCLA. I had mailed to the admissions office and they said its on rolling basis and you may receive the invitation anytime.

Thanks for the update. It actually brings me to wonder whether the time you get an invitation implies on your app strengh. I'm a person of numbers I wish I could have some serious stats of time of II and admission decisions, and not just for UCLA. If the info was accessible, could be an interesting research. Especially as many schools declare it does not imply anything but I SERIOUSLY doubt that seeing the stats of those invited first.

NO IT DOES NOT. I cannot emphasize this enough. Each app gets reviewed in 2 groups and they often take very different amount of time.
Also, it may be true for some schools (not gonna name them), that there is an initial screening based on GMAT/GPA for very early interview invites, but I have seen MANY of them rejected. So NO, it does NOT matter when you get your invite. There is absolutely no data to support it and it discourages everybody in the waiting.

That's good to know. Though I wasn't referring UCLA when I said I don't believe it, just look at Stanford's reported II and you'll doubt it too.

But it is STANFORD. If you look at everybody, they will have incredible GMAT scores. Their average is 740. So if you look at overrepresented demographies, the GMAT becomes a pretty strong differentiator. I do not know a single Indian with a less than 740 score in Stanford in the last couple years. That's true for almost the entire M7 and top 10.

Thanks, it actually makes me feel much better. Idk, I guess some people influencedy mind recently with all the specualtions. Especially a specific MBA consultant I spoke with that brought to my attention the fact it's very apparent that many MBB/IB/PE/VC candidates and/or with strong GPAs and gmats get invited first. What left me wondering that if they are invited first they probably have some advantage. Guess I'm wrong.
